Short description: Deadwardian! Philip takes care of Teen! Reader while they're sick.
Third person oneshot.
TW - mentions of kidnapping, bloodletting, Palisman consuming?
Philip had returned after going out to find suppiles for himself and other human he had found. They were unwilling to come with him, poor child must have been brainwashed! He was forced to drag them back to the cave he had been staying at.
They were weeping and crying for help, why didn't they understand he was trying to help? At least the hat they were wearing fell off and showed off their round ears. If not, who knows how much danger they would be in!
He took them into the cave and put them into in area someone couldn't see without going back there themself.
They eventually fell asleep, and after making sure they wouldn't leave by using some vines from the plant glyph, he went out.
Now that he was home, he could hear sniffles. When he checked up on them, they were sick- how could this happen? He made sure nothing in the cave could make them ill. No- this wouldn't do.
Luckily for him, while out, he had grabbed blankets, a few pillows, edible food, clothing, and a cloak for them. For the two of them of course, this was good enough. Even if most of this was for them and not him.
But, even then, when he saw them coughing, nose purple, and shivering, he might of panicked a bit.
He didn't just save them for them to die from an illness! So, he grabbed a cloth and dipped it in cool water, and placed the cloth on their head as he made them lay down. He put the blankets he collected ontop of their concerningly heating up body.
He would first try bloodletting, but when he brought the dagger near their arm he was rudely kicked. He tried this at least seven times before giving up.
He now had a bruise where kicked seven times.
Next he tried to look for some medicine. The only kind he could find belonged to those witches, where was some alcohol? Mercury? Not even some mint leafs?
Throughout the day when he checked on the younger human, they seemed to be getting worse.
He ended the day of searching for something to cure the adolescence coming back to the cave defeated. He simply sat next to the laying figure and combed through their hair.
Before, they would just try to get away from him, but now they seemed too tired to even move. They relaxed under his soothing touches. Philip, before going to rest himself made sure to change the cloth, dip it in some newly found cool water and placed it back onto their head.
This was nice, it was quiet in the cave besides their breathing. He could finally take a short rest.
He laid next to them, their breathing slow. They were still ill. He could try the next day to look again, even the entire week if he needed to do so. He just needed to make sure they were alive and well soon enough.
To mention being well, had he taken a palisman? No, no need for that, his main focus was keeping them healthy and safe. They also had told him their name while he was changing the cloth! Reader is such an adorable and silly name.
Now the sky was dimming quick, and with Reader sleeping peacefully. He could as well..
Your form was not quite humanoid to say.. your halos wre covering your eyes as your 6 large white wings had eyes on them. The outfit you were wearing was strange aswell. Quickly, you quickly summoned a white cloak to cover your wings and your body, the cloak seemed to be made out of pure white feathers.
You were sent by the titan to keep watch of a certain... human Philip Wittebane or now known as Belos.
You appeared in the throne room while a meeting was being held and the surrounding coven heads and scouts were on high alert.
You also made sure to change into your human form. The glowing halo on your head moved and became singular and floated above your head, your eyes scanned the room before landing on Belos.
You tried stepping forward but a handful of scouts stopped you. "Halt!" One of them called out. Belos was wide eyed behind the golden mask. A living angel? Was this a gift from god for his good work?
He was gonna go off ranting in his head. when one of the scouts threw a spear at you. It was about to come into contact with you when it stopped mid-air and dropped to the floor.
Before anyone else could do anything, he demanded everyone to leave the room. All the witches were shocked but did as he said. Soon it was only him and the angel.
He watched as the angel walked towards him. "Philip Wittebane, right? Or is it Belos? I never knew why you changed names but none of the less I'm here to watch over you." Their voice had something to it, he couldn't put his finger on it.
"It's ______, but you may call me Reader." They spoke with a soft smile, perhaps, he could stay on the isles for a bit longer..
"I'm graced with your presence, dear angel. What may your name be.?" He asked calmly as he was excited to be face to face with one of gods messagers.
