a/n : hi!! so i haven’t been active like at all and this has been in my notes app for literal months and i like it but i js didn’t have the time or energy to add more. so here u go guys don’t be too harsh on me

“it’s not going to work out heeseung. i have to leave.” you said as the waves crashed against your bruised legs and soaked your long white skirt. the sand dug into the wounds on your ankles, causing you to wince.
heeseung stared at you with tears in his eyes. the cloudy forecast and cold breeze made him shiver. however, the look on your face made him tremble. you stared at him as if he were nothing. but he knew. he could see just a hint of remorse. regret.
before you could blink, he was walking over to you from the sand. not really walking, more jogging. heeseung finally reached you, letting his already dirty converse shoes get wet with the waves.
he hugged you. tightly. so tightly that you felt like you couldn’t move your upper body. his head dropped to your shoulder as his tears were soaked up by your jacket that just so happened to be his.
“please y/n.. don’t do this to me. don’t leave me. stay..” his words broke you. he sobbed into your neck as you patted him on the bag confortingly. you didn’t want to leave. but it wasn’t up to you.
heeseung slowly dropped to his knees, the water engulfing his jeans. he sobbed and cried while grabbing your hands and bringing them to his forehead. once he looked up, he started begging again.
“y/n- you can stay with me! ill- i can sleep on the couch and you can sleep on my bed. just until we graduate. please- i need you.. i need you here with me.” he sobbed into your hands as you looked down at him with tearful eyes.
“heeseung. get up.” you sighed, feeling the tears start to stream down your face as well,
“why? why are you leaving? what about us?! what- what about ME?!” he cried out
“heeseung. i’m sorry.” you pulled away from him at the same time the last wave hit your knees before it was calm. silent as you walked away. silent, but your steps were loud to heeseung. all he could hear was your footsteps sinking into the sand rhythmically. walking away. leaving.
“i love you! i’ve loved you for years- just.. please y/n. don’t leave!” heeseung yelled out to you, pleading with you. his words made you stop in your tracks and look back at him. tears streaming down your face, you forced yourself to turn away and continue walking. your heart ached in your chest but you knew you had to leave.
heeseung sat there on his knees, defeated. he did all he could to try and make you stay. as the last tears rolled down his cheeks, he stood up and watched as you walked further and further into the fog. away from him.
