TSUBURAYA・GALAXY, a new digital media service, offically announced by Tsuburaya Productions.
After the announcement of Disney+ and its amazing pricing, Tsuburaya followed that bit of news by announcing the launch of its own streaming app/service, Tsuburaya Galaxy!
This is part of their media expansion plan, but is only available in Japan....for now.
The service will feature all of the studio’s IPs outside the Ultra series as well as the Ultraman series available to stream, as well as news, interviews and behind the scenes looks on past and upcoming productions from actors to composers to the SFX crew. They will also have a store full of Ultra goodies fans can purchase and the app will be available on mobile devices and on computers and TVs in its home market.
This is a fantastic first step toward the company’s bright future, the cost of the service is a little higher for Japanese fans, 980 yen (about $8.81 US), but given all the content it seems to be worth the value! Here’s hoping they expand to international markets!
