Power Rangers Comic Book Series Gets Relaunched with Two New Titles

It was announced that the Power Rangers comic book series will relaunch in November with two new books and a new Green Ranger.

Bit of Boom! news. MMPR is coming to an end....only to be a rebranded book with an Issue #1.

So right off the bat, we notice something new. All seven Mighty Morphin’ Rangers together! 

We have an all new Green Ranger and he is sporting a stylized version of the Bat in the Sun V2 suit, it has blue gems on the gloves and glowy “TRON-lines”. The Dragon Shield is a bit more pointy with sharper spines on the shoulders. Lastly, the gloves and boots have sweet gold trim. (Matt? Is that you?)

A second title that has yet to be named will launch beside this series in November.

Ryan Parrott has stated that we are venturing into new territory, meaning readers will see more new lore in the comic universe and not be fully bound by the TV show.

Seems exciting and a small reason to be thankful on Turkey Day to have such an amazing team behind the books!

Mill Creek Details Future Ultraman Home Video Release Plans

Mill Creek has revealed their plans for their future Ultraman home video releases.

Tsuburaya and Mill Creek are going to be very busy next year as they celebrate 55 years of Ultraman with a barrage of Blu-ray releases! 

First to come is Ultraman Taro in January 2021! Also, we are getting a home video release of the original Gridman and a Superhuman Samurai Syber Squad re-release sometime in the future!

There are some legal issues, HD conversions and tracking down master tapes to do for some entries and some will not be available at all (The Hanuman crossover film for example, but given the sour history with Chaiyo, that’s understandable that Tsuburaya doesn’t want it.)

Tiga is an issue right now, fans who want the 4Kids dub out of Saturday morning nostalgia are going to be disappointed. See, 4Kids messed up on Tiga, like, a lot. First, the dub was never finished, second the video format of the tapes is so messed up that the HD sync conversion is seemingly difficult to near impossible. Nice one 4Kids, real classy.

Ultraman vs. Kamen Rider will not come here unless Toei and Ishimori Pro give the go ahead.

A few hiccups to greatness, but otherwise promising. But, for this toku fan, one burning question remains....where is the kitty? And when will we see him on our shelves?
