Hey, Mai here presenting a fresh Tolkien kin Discord server which I will link to inquiring parties (until I get myself to add a member role to create a layer of protection against trolls and co., at which point I'll feel comfortable posting a link)! We have react roles and bots and are sorely lacking additional members at this time of posting, being entirely new. The server is called Kins of Tolkien. We won't bite, come on in. <3
I'll make another post once I finish up loose odds and ends, guidelines, and the extended roles and factions! (In which I embark on representing every single possible variant of peoples with react roles and corresponding extended exclusive spaces, as the basic roles include). As of now just want to get some word out.
At the moment, we are set as a 14+ server, with a few separate 18+ spaces for adult members. We are double friendly here so be aware and try to be respectful! Drama will be kept in check. All are welcome who will respect our guidelines. Questioning included. (I expect an orc or two one day, when I say all I mean all, assuming two Dark Lords can be tolerated, heh.)
Hope to hear from some people, I'm very enthusiastic about this venture. :)
made lembas using my lotr cookbook today :3 it turned out tasting more like a snickerdoodle cookie than anything bread-like but it's still so fucking good so i cannot complain
also was the only reason i actually cleaned my kitchen, which ive been trying to get motivation to do ever since like yestarë so at least it's finally sorta done
i need to sew up more little cotton leafs to our the lembas in but im too lazy to do it now
today's little impulse purchase. i don't cook a lot, but now i really really want to. the barnes and noble website actually had an elvish cookbook, but it wasn't in stock at the store, sadly. regardless... i love this soso much :3
— mae g'ovannen! welcome to my introductory post ♡ my name is siedron and i am elfkin, more specifically wood elven/silvan. i am not new to being alterhuman, but i am new to being a part of an online alterhuman/otherkin community, so bear with me...
— this blog is mainly focused around my experiences as alterhuman, as well as shifting related posts.
— under the cut is my full introduction + other info relevant to the blog! ^^
i don’t think i’ve spoken about it here but i actually labelled myself as orchearted/urukhearted for quite a few months, sort of overlapping with being goblinhearted
but something finally clicked yesterday and it turns out i’m psychologically an Uruk-haikin. i sort of held myself back since i created orcs as Melkor, yet i can differentiate Melkor shifts from Uruk-hai shifts easily. i also didn’t want to jump to conclusions since i play SoW almost daily.
whaddaya know, i’m an orc! i’ve got an orc brain and toucan brain now lmao
Do you have any recipes for a hobbitkin? I'm technically supposed to be gluten-free but I have enough experience with substitutions that you don't have to look for purely gluten-free recipes! I don't particularly like fish/seafood but any fish that are light in that "fishy" taste might work, too! I'm willing to try just about anything. I also have a sweet tooth! Main courses preferred, but desserts and appetizers are okay, too! I'm not very picky.
Hey anon! Sure no problem! :) I tried to avoid gluten for the most part, but I didn’t like avoid it 100% since I’m sure with something like bread, a gluten free substitution can be found in a grocery store, and you said you are pretty experienced in substitutions! Either way I didn’t grab anything that didn’t have a potential substitution on market somewhere! ^-^

List is a little on the short side, but that’s because I found three resources for you to look through! Middle-Earth Recipes, Middle-Earth Recipes Tumblr, What Hobbits Like to Eat! Click through those three, they are pretty lengthy but I’m certain you’ll find something you like since it’s recipes inspired by Tolkien books! Anyway if you’d like anything else hit me up and I’ll respond ASAP! <3 Cheers!
