Magna Tolvan didn’t even have a reason to go after Aphra. It wasn’t like Aphra had saved her life and proved that Not All Criminals are Scum, or that Aphra passed her some super-important information, or that Aphra was a long-lost childhood friend or a former ally.
No, all that happened between her and Aphra was:
1. Aphra threw a wrench into her operations on Yavin
2. After defeating Tolvan, she took her to a remote location and dropped her off, then called her “cute”
3. Later, Aphra attacked the base Tolvan was operating on, took Tolvan hostage, and apologized for any suggestion of teasing, then stunned her before leaving and blowing up the base.
4. That’s it.
That’s literally it.
Tolvan found out that Aphra was wanted by Darth Vader, and she still said “Nah, I want that.”
An Imperial officer risked execution and treason and crossed the galaxy into a firefight just to make out with a hot criminal, and if that’s not the peak of gay drama in Star Wars, it means that Dave Filoni has one terrifying card left to play and I don’t think I want to know what it is.
