And Osferth being his sweet self has no idea, and there’s a lot of religious references and catholic symbolism and mutual pining and he worships the ground she walks on but she thinks he’s too handsome and great ( he’s one of Uhtred’s warriors!) to ever look at her and I’m going insane with Ewan brain rot.

Because what about Tom Bennet. What if he meets a cute little lady and he just falls head over hills for her but she’s too good for him. What if he has to confront the fact that he really cares.
