Tokyo DisneySea - Entering Mysterious Island by Tom Bricker Via Flickr: Tokyo Disney Resort Tokyo DisneySea Mysterious Island In more ways than one, this entrance to Mysterious Island reminds me of the entrance from Pacific Wharf to Cars Land in Disney California Adventure. Mysterious Island is one of the most transportive lands in any theme park. From the tunnels drilled through the rockwork to Mount Prometheus to the chilling background "music," this land is the pinnacle of theme park design. Thanks for your views, comments, and favorites! Dungeon or Fantasyland by Tom Bricker Via Flickr: On this particular evening, as I walked from Fantasyland to the hub, I noticed how empty the Castle was. Not having photographed its passageway for a while, I decided to set up for a shot. Right as I set up, two hooligans appeared in my frame. While these hooligans were actually Vanessa Guzan and famed photographic hobgoblin Larry White, at the time I cursed my luck that such inconsiderate tourists ;-P would wander throughout my frame adrift, I soon realized who spearheaded the plan. All I can say is this: Disney photographer's beware, for if you thought Matt Pasant ruining your shots was bad, you have yet to encounter the menacing Larry White. On a note much more related to the shot, to me, the gothic look of the doors and gate pictured here make this area reminiscent of the 'dark' portions of the Castle. They are really quite the contrast to the murals and Fantasyland in the distance (in a good way!). Disney Dreams! - Fountains, Fireworks, and Lasers! by Tom Bricker Via Flickr: Disneyland Resort Paris Parc Disneyland Le Château de la Belle au Bois Dormant Disney Dreams! Disney Dreams ranks right up there with "Remember... Dreams Come True!" and Illuminations: Reflections of Earth as my favorite Disney nighttime spectaculars. One thing is for sure--it's certainly more difficult to photograph than either of those fireworks shows. Holy cow! This photo is featured as one of my "Top 12 Disney Photos for 2012," which I shared on my blog today. I also shared some of my photography disappointments of 2012 and my goals for 2013 there. I'm curious as to how 2012 has been photography-wise for you, and what your goals for 2013 are. Trying anything new, or trying to hone your existing style? Hope everyone has a safe and happy new year! DisneyTouristBlog | Facebook | Twitter | Photo Gallery | Google+ | ISO 5571 - Podcast
