Severed Heads
ButchCrutch - Steve & Helen Scoles’ analog synths with Tom Ellard (Severed Heads) on vocals
Steve and Helen Scoles have a mountain of analogue music gear and a deep regret that Severed Heads never made it back to Florida on the last few tours. Part of the consolation prize was that a jam was on offer at their place any time, but it was only after Severed Heads died that the jam began. I have a well advertised dislike of antique electronic equipment but the enthusiasm is contagious when the kids get going. The deal is - I'll produce it and howl and holler over the top, so long as a MC202 Bassline is never NEVER included. Based on Cubase we're using Steinberg's "VST Transit" to pass mixes back and forward. Although we strive for an album, for now we'll present this EP as work in motion. Three tracks here include my yelling and hooting random things over the top, which we recorded in way less than an hour over "VST Connect SE". There's probably a better way. The last track was entirely produced by the Scoles without my ruining it. Helen Scoles, Steve Scoles = synthesisers. Tom Ellard = Howling and Hooting on tracks 1-3
another day, another SH banger. what else is new!
“The Heads toured the LP across Australia in 1985, resulting in a lot of ‘exciting adventures with audiences who wanted to kill us’”
