Tom Slick

Created by Jay Ward Productions, Tom Slick was a featured segment in the George of the Jungle animated variety show.  The adventures center on freckle-faced race-car driver Tom Slick as her competes in various races with his trusty vehicle, the Thunderbolt Grease-Slapper. Herein Slick is accompanied by his girlfriend Marigold and matronly mechanic Gertie Growler.  He is frequently opposed by the villainous Baron Otto Matic.  

Actor Bill Scott provided the voice for Tom Slick.  The hero first appeared in the debut episode of George of the Jungle airing in September of 1967.

George of the Jungle was the last animated series developed by Jay Ward. The dhow was divided into three segments featuring George, Tom Slick and Super Chicken.
