the abernathy’s have called holy cross their home for nearly 5 generations; one after another, never finding a reason to leave. the abernathy have something of a cursed bloodline - mother or father simply not having a heart capable of love strong enough to give their child. eleanora’s experience was no different but as a young adult, she made a promise to her future children that they would not have to endure such loneliness and heartache. and she kept that promise.
tomas still writes; in fact, he has recently started to dabble in poetry - most of which is about his children and how much he misses them. but despite how much he loves writing and his books, he’s starting to get worn out. he’s tired and thinking of settling down.. perhaps trying to find love again now that he’s less focused on his work.
Amanda, I love Eleanora and Tomas so much! Both of them seem to have big hearts but also have lots of pain, and that’s going to be painful in the best way possible to read about on the dash. Congrats and welcome to narrativefm!
