Tomas sits his crossed arms over his chest, staring at the young man in front of him with a mixture of that so familiar class-bridge haughtiness, and a same-level quiet that came from thinking everyone was just as irritating.

" . . ."

He doesn't answer, maybe not believing that the conversation was worth verbal exertion, maybe just too focused on the object. He narrowed his eyes, eyeing the cd for a second before extending his hand— yet not taking it, clearly expecting for it to be handed directly.

"OH—Uh- Ahem. Mister Derby, welcome, be well received, i was awaiting upon your arrival.."

Tomas looked at the very least nervous to be speaking towards the so-called-upon leader of the prestigious Harrington House, but being the tryhard that he is, he's going to perform his absolute bess to play a good impression.

"I.. Yes, sir, i could say so. I am the firstborn son of my parent's bloodline, i hold generational both by the side of my mother, a long line of accountants and.. bank expense managers, so as my father, whose inheritance comes from various business managements, such real estate. I hope that sits well enough with you, sir."

He seems to be putting an emphasize along the adressment words, trying to showcase his absolute respect towards him. For someone who is always bitchy and grumpy, he sure changed a lot when it comes to him.

He's so focused on trying to earn his ways into Derby's good graces that he doesn't realize nobody asked him that. A 'yes' would've worked, but he really had being respected in his new social circle as a priority.

I believe the way Barbara chooses to ignore the giant inequality gap between the general middle class and the rest of us, the preps, as a clique, is all and idealistic. Treating everyone the same, no matter financial status, sounds pretty fair when you're a privileged, wealthy white person with no concept of learnt;but if you look beyond your own nose, whatever the case may be, it stops being so easy.

She can come off as being just as condescending as the rest of the clique in a very different way, i wonder if the woman knows. But she's just innocent, she has not one of a trace of malice. I wonder what she thinks about me.
