Lutescent or Honor Bright is a particularly unusual tomato. First, it's flowers are pale yellow or cream colored instead of the usual bright yellow. Second, eventually the foliage turns yellow as if the plant is sick, even when perfectly healthy. Third, the fruits go through many color changes: green, white, lemon, orange, then red. Apparently, it was a sport of Alexander Livingston's Stone Tomato in 1894, and was first introduced in 1898 as a terrific storage and shipping tomato. It is supposedly also delicious. I first grew it last year while working with William Woys Weaver.
