Kickass Omegle Chat
You're now chatting with a random stranger. Say hi!
Omegle couldn't find anyone who shares interests with you, so this stranger is completely random. Try adding more interests!
You: Hi
Stranger: Hi
You: How are you?
Stranger: I'm excellent. How are you?
You: Pretty fabulous myself. What's your favorite color?
Stranger: Probably green.
You: Green green green oh how i wish i saw more green
Stranger: Why?
You: Because I live in a desert...and i don't like deserts :/
Stranger: So what's your favorite color?
You: Hmmmmmmmmmm.....I pick a new one every day :) today's is neon turquoise
Stranger: Do you ever forget to pick a color for the day?
You: Sometimes, but then i just go to my default color, which is grey
Stranger: What senses do you think most and least affect emotion?
You: For me, it's a tie between smell and touch that affect it most...as for least, ack nevermind scratch that. It really depends on what emotion you're talking about. but if I had to pick the one that is moooooost, I'd say hearing. least would be touch.
Stranger: Why?
You: I'm a musician, so sounds of all kinds affect me deeply. As for touch, it's easy to misinterpret touch, because if we want something to be a reality, we'll first twist people's actions to fit the reality we crave. The act of touching someone can be twisted based on how much someone relies on touch to communicate.
Stranger: I read somewhere that the sense of hearing is an extension of the sense of touch
You: It could be, I'm not sure. If it is, I suppose it makes hearing just as relative
Stranger: What would you do if you woke up and everyone was inexplicably gone?
You: I'd probably go insane trying to find everyone, start seeing shadows of people I once knew, chase the shadows, give up, make dolls of the people i knew, play with them, believe that the dolls were the people and then die trying to make myself into a doll
Stranger: You couldn't live alone?
You: Nope. I couldn't live without being able to speak to other human beings.
Stranger: Why?
You: It's just part of how I am...Honestly I don't think anyone could live without being able to socialize and feel accepted. That's how the brain works. It categorizes and puts values on things around you, and in turn, uses these categories and values to figure out where it fits in the rundown. Also, one of the first signs of depression and other such disorders is seclusion or a lack of socialization. Children struggle most when they are ignored and neglected. They spend much of their adult life recovering and trying to figure out that they still matter regardless of the regret they suffered
Stranger: How about hermits?
You: Name a hermit that has never stopped their hermitage for a period of time, hasn't had a mental disorder, hasn't killed themself...
Stranger: If I remember correctly, I think the Buddha and many Buddhist persons have lived in isolation, seeking enlightenment
You: Yes, but after enlightenment, they come (came) back to civilization to share their enlightenedness with the rest of us. there is nothing wrong with temporary seclusion, but too much time alone renders you useless
Stranger: How long did Buddha spend in seclusion then?
You: 49 days
Stranger: Wow, that sounds like a relatively small amount of time for achieving total enlightenment
You: Maybe it wasn't total enlightenment. I don't believe anyone ever achieves total enlightenment
Stranger: What's the closest one can get?
You: I don't know. It depends on what you mean by closest
Stranger: If it's impossible to achieve total enlightenment, how can almost-total enlightenment be achieved?
You: Everyone has a different opinion about that. That's why everyone leads a different life, with different choices, reactions, etc
Stranger: Not everyone leads a life that benefits them entirely, though
You: No one leads a life that is totally to their benefit...if they did, there would be no progress, and progress is to their benefit
Stranger: How so? If someone led a life totally to their benefit, there would be progress since progress is to their benefit
You: Haha that's what I was getting at but I didn't word it well...yes everything is to your benefit, unless proven otherwise. people who see things as not being a benefit to themselves need to change their perspective...unless it's something majorly harmful that is a constant that they have no control over in the moment. however, life is by definition change, therefore, once one has moved from the harmful time in their life, they must attempt to see it as something that benefitted them in one way or another. that doesn't mean it wasn't a bad thing that happened to them, it's just that they can't dwell on it as a bad thing forever, or they will not progress...and now i've come full circle
Stranger: Everything is to your benefit unless proven otherwise? Isn't that like saying "what doesn't kill you makes you stronger?"
You: exactly
Stranger: How does that work, though?
You: Well, you're not dead, and you learned something
Stranger: There are things that don't kill, but can seriously injure
Stranger: People can survive getting all their limbs amputated, but that can't make them stronger, can it?
You: Yes it can
Stranger: How so?
You: It makes them stronger mentally...and depending on how they lost their limbs, it can increase their threshold for pain
Stranger: Does it always make them mentally stronger?
You: Yes
You: If they choose
Stranger: Only if they choose?
You: Only if they choose
Stranger: Why so?
You: Because it's a choice to think positively. someone who is missing all of their limbs can choose to use that as an excuse why they don't try to do anything to better themselves. someone else with the same issue might decide to accell in spite of this issue.
You: I'm really enjoying this conversation, but on a side note, what pronouns do you prefer to be referred to as?
Stranger: Interesting question. Most of the time, referring to me with a name isn't necessary in a conversation unless trying to get attention or something
Stranger: "Referred to" is vague, I think. In a conversation, usually "you" suffices. When trying to get my attention, my name (Tom) works efficiently.
You: So you would consider yourself to be a boy/man?
Stranger: Both are unnecessary labels. I consider myself a person.
Stranger: All other labels are unnecessary and can lead to unnecessary generalizations, dangerous assumptions, or quick conclusions.
You: I like that :) But actually, my purpose was not to create generalizations, but to break them. Well Tom, my last comment was " Because it's a choice to think positively. someone who is missing all of their limbs can choose to use that as an excuse why they don't try to do anything to better themselves. someone else with the same issue might decide to accell in spite of this issue."
Stranger: I agree with it; I'm unsure what further to say about it. So if your purpose was to break generalizations, how do you intend to do that?
You: Some people think that categorizing someone by gender will allow them to put them in other categories.
Stranger: What?
You: Let's pretend I talk like this: "OMG DID YOU JUST SEE THAT FLAWLESS PURSE?!!! I LIKE TOTALLY WANT THAT PURSE!" What kind of person talks like that?
You: Or what gender, sexuality, etc
Stranger: I haven't investigated the differences between generalizations and stereotypes yet, but I think it's more of a stereotype than a generalization
You: gen·er·al·i·za·tion/ˌjenərəliˈzāSHən/ Noun: A general statement or concept obtained by inference from specific cases. The action of generalizing: "such anecdotes cannot be a basis for generalization".
You: ster·e·o·type/ˈsterēəˌtīp/ Noun: A widely held but fixed and oversimplified image or idea of a particular type of person or thing: "sexual and racial stereotypes".
You: I thought stereotyping was under the umbrella of generalizing...is it not?
Stranger: It probably is, but if it isn't, I don't want to make the assumption that it is. Anyway, treating them as similar, stereotypically, a young female would speak like your example
You: How about this one? Hey babe you wanna roll wit me? I got a six pack and a maserati.
Stranger: Male, but further than that it could be a lot of things, and I'm rather unknowledgeable
You: Okay, now what about my writing patterns?
Stranger: Oh, it might be Vernacular, so it might be an African-American, though in my experience, lots of white people also speak like that, no idea why
You: I meant what I've actually been saying, previous to the examples. Or was that what you were referring to?
Stranger: Oh, you mean just throughout this conversation?
You: Yes
Stranger: Good grammar generally; syntax sometimes a bit unusual, I can't really make generalizations just based on your speech from my current information
You: Congratulations! The human race is one person closer to stopping the flow of unnecessary generalizations! *cue music*
Stranger: Awesome!
You: How do you feel about mechanical pencils?
Stranger: Vague question. They can be nice; the graphite is usually thin so it isn't annoying like a normal pencil when unsharpened, but it requires refilling, so I can see how a lazy person would opt for a normal pencil
You: If you could only perform one activity for the rest of your life (assuming you didn't have a need for eating, sleeping, personal hygiene, etc) what would it be?
Stranger: Does "using internet" count as one activity?
You: Lol yes
Stranger: There's my answer then. The internet has no limits.
You: Ha I've nothing to say
Stranger: What would you do?
You: Perform
Stranger: What instrument?
You: Singing
You: The instrument would be my body, if you want to get technical...
Stranger: Wouldn't you get tired eventually?
You: That was one of the things that we wouldn't factor in...
Stranger: Aha
