reading: i'm reading a lot of manga concurrently hdsjkfs but the ones i'm most excited about are the ramparts of ice and how i attended an all-guys' mixer! these genuinely get me so excited to read an update. but for non-manga things, i was rereading my true love gave to me last december and just... haven't picked it up again 😅 i do still like it but i tried taking notes and it just fell to the wayside.

last series: i watched the latest episodes of you and i are polar opposites and journal with witch yesterday! one is a really lovely romcom, while the other is an equally lovely slice-of-life drama. would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to watch good anime to start their 2026 ^^

film: wait i have an actual answer this time!! it's no longer heroine, a japanese live action movie adaptation of the manga by kouda momoko! i haven't read the manga so idk how good the adaptation is, but the first half was fun comedy, and the latter half was the more emotional romance part. hated the ML but loved yamazaki kento lol

last song: would you be so kind by dodie. tho this was from yesterday's music-listening. i apparently haven't listened to any music today :o

working on: i've been practicing waking up early, with little success. altho today was probably the earliest i woke up after an acceptable length of sleep so i'll take that as a win ^^

sometimes, the things that you could do before are harder now because the muscles you need for them are underused. and sometimes, the best way to fix that is to slowly reaccustom yourself to doing those things again and to accept that this process could take time and would need you to be kinder and more understanding about yourself.

the best time to watch shows really is after it's finished airing because the pressure to say something interesting or clever mostly slides off and the people interacting with your posts are the ones who are still actually interested in the thing
