i saw inu-oh a bit ago love these guys
Tennyomai (Dance of the Heavenly Maidens) is one of the most difficult dances in classical Noh.
There is a semi-credible rumor that in honor of Emperor Go-Daigo's visit to the Muromachi Palace, Inu-Oh danced Tennyomai for three days without any rest.
Inu-oh fanart in the year of 2025?? 🐶🐟
These lines destroyed me
Inu-oh is Beautiful. I've know about the film for awhile, but I had not had the chance to watch it till today. Which is a true shame, cause this film shines bright as a star burning out. The music is breath taking, and there is a visceral edge to the animation. It drags you by the throat, and makes you see these characters. Inu-oh and Tomona where here, and they we're glorious.
Hi.
I haven’t posted in a while (oops)
The life Inu-Oh and Tomona should have gotten to have. (Inu-Oh had never gotten to have a sleepover, and gets to experience what having a not crappy family is like.)
Tomona/Tomoishi/Tomoari
Darling, you didn't deserve the ending you got.
(When I tell you this character needs more fanart (I had to go to pixi.net to keep looking for more), it's because it does.)
You know something I really loved about the movie Inu-Oh? It's the way they draw teeth (especially Tomoari's teeth when he sings).
x: But what's so special about teeth? They're all crooked, and the expressions are grotesque.
And that, my dear X, is the reason I loved the movie so much. Normally, most movies tend to draw straight teeth and don't usually emphasize them much. But if we take into account the life Tomona has had, it's understandable that they're crooked. Tomoishi lived 600 years ago, and he also came from a fishing village, so his diet was most likely based on fish and the occasional vegetable (foods that are not usually very solid). Such a diet does not usually contribute to the development of a strong jaw. But that's not all. Tomoishi traveled on his own, being blind and eating what he could (a poor diet does not usually lead to healthy teeth, and a lack of calcium also affects teeth). As for the expressions (they are simply chef kisses), they are realistic. The fact that it has become fashionable not to vocalize so as not to distort expressions and always look good in music videos has led people to think that you don't have to open your mouth so wide to sing. Tomoishi makes use of everything to project his voice, making faces if necessary to reach certain notes.
In addition to the dance movements being so provocative and the songs. (I simply adored it). The film takes a while to settle and understand what's happening (or at least that's how it felt to me), but the message is simply beautiful.
