What do you consider a healthy limit on sweets and indulgences? I'm not really trying to lose weight, but like you, I'm a college student trying to maintain a healthy and fit lifestyle. A lot of fitspo and the like suggests indulgence twice a month or once a week?! That seems so... sparse, to me... Thoughts?
I eat healthy every day, or at least try to, and I think it's completely fine to have sweets sparingly. I go out to pizza almost once a week and that's my indulgence I treat myself to. But if you completely cut back on sweets, you're going to binge. And when you binge, it's going to be hard! So I suggest eating a little piece of sweets or chocolate once a night if you feel is necessary, but try eating only one or two pieces. I have the biggest soft spot for chocolate and I found that I can indulge in chocolate almond spread with fruits or with almonds. I know there also is healthy organic hazelnut chocolate spread. But seriously, I've been eating like this for awhile and I work out and have been losing weight while 'indulging' and eating sweets!! So really, just in moderations it will be fine :D
