[Side Story] Tomoya Mashiro: Good Kid, Naughty Kid, Ordinary Kid
←Episode 3 ★
Nazuna: Over here, Anzu~! This way, this way! It’s this room! ♪
Come on, no dawdling~ In the idol business, it’s always a race against time! It’s the same for producers, too! Hehehe♪
Heeey! You guys are all here too, right? Are you all finished changing yet~?
Mitsuru: Oh, Nii-chan! So late, so late! I was getting a little tired of waiting!
Tomoya: How is he late? He’s right on time. Nii-chan’s always so punctual, after all~
Hajime: We’re the ones that were almost late, to be honest. But I’m so glad we managed to finish getting ready before Nii-chan arrived….♪
Ehehe. Mitsuru-kun wouldn’t change at first, so we were having a bit of trouble….♪
Nazuna: You’re just like a mom, Hajime-chin. We’re counting on you~ After all, you went and made sure to wash our costumes for us, right?
Hajime: Yes! They’re so clean now it’s like they’re brand new! I’m good at doing laundry~♪
It’s because “Ra*bits’” costume is mainly a crisp white color, which makes dirty spots stand out easily.
It’s hard to get the stains out completely, so it can be a hassle….♪ Since Mitsuru-kun is always rolling around on the ground and getting his costume dirty before long.
Mitsuru: Hehe♪
Tomoya: Why’re you acting all proud? You’ll being scolded here, so you should be sorry.
But anyway, since Hajime washes our costumes for us, that saves us from having to pay someone else to do it.
I’m glad we’re able to build up a savings for our household budget, or rather, “Ra*bits’” activities funds.
We’re still just a weak “unit” with little earnings, after all. We should cut down on spending wherever we can.
Hajime: Yes, I’m happy that I can help in some way. Laundry is about all I’m able to do, so I’m always thinking that I want to do a good job at that, at the very least….♪
Nazuna: Mm, well, it’s good that you’ll all in such good spirits, but let’s stop the chit-chat there. We need to be careful about distinguishing private matters from professional ones, you know~?
Hajime: Okaay~
Huh? Is Anzu-san joining us for today’s lesson?
Nazuna: Yep. She’s a producer after all, so I thought it’d be a good idea to leave part of “Ra*bits’” producing to her this time.
And since it’s Anzu, we’ll be able to count on her for sure~♪
Tomoya: That’s true. After all, she’s a producer that Hokuto-senpai trusts, too.
It almost makes me feel bad that we’re making her spend her time with a unit like us.
Nazuna: You can’t be too humble, or you’ll end up giving off a bad impression, Tomoya-chin. You should learn more from Mitsuru-chin when it comes to that.
Mitsuru: Yaaay, so Nee-chan is producing for us?
I’m so happy! Praise me a whole bunch! I’m the type that improves the more praise I get~☆
Nazuna: Don’t cling to her like that, Mitsuru-chin. And don’t cause her too much trouble~ We might have a long relationship ahead of us, after all, so make sure you guys all get along with her, alright?
Hajime: Okaay~ Hehe, it’s kind of a weird feeling. Up until now, it’s always been Nii-chan that does all the producer-like stuff for us.
I’m a little nervous….♪
Nazuna: To begin with, I formed “Ra*bits” because I wanted a unit that could produce itself. I’m kinda interested in that sort of thing.
But then I might start having to neglect my own idol activities, and that’d be like putting the cart before the horse, you know~? I’m sure this’ll be a good experience for Anzu, too.
All the other units just casually do all these amazing things, but we’re pretty much still beginners.
We’re still a blank canvas, so it should be fun to paint our unit with a unique color that’s all our own.
That’s the best part of being a producer, eheheh♪
Alright, you guys! First, introduce yourselves to the producer! Do it like you’d do at an audition!
Treat it like it’s your first time meeting, and don’t do anything rude, got it~?
Hajime: R-right! Uwah, what should I do? I hadn’t thought of anything for a self-introduction.
I see…. So even something like this is part of an idol’s job, huh….?
Nazuna: You shouldn’t be so nervous about it, Hajime-chin. Since it’s Anzu that you’re introducing yourself to, there aren’t any repercussions if you end up saying something rude. On the contrary, it’ll be a good experience to help you get ready for the real thing.
It’s like they say. All the hard work you do when you’re young will pay off once you get older~♪
Hajime: Th-that’s true. If I get scared even just doing it with Anzu-san, when I go to greet the people from the TV industry or something, I might just faint.
I’d better get used to it♪ *deep breath*
Tomoya: Hajime, you should quit that habit of sniffing your lavender sachet whenever you get nervous. It makes you look like a weirdo, or maybe even someone kind of dangerous….?
Mitsuru: Alright, I’ll go first then! I’m Mitsuru Tenma! The one “Ra*bits” is proud to call their superstar! ☆
Nazuna: The actual contents are another story, but I’ll give you points for volunteering to go first~♪
Tomoya: Alright, then I’ll go next. My name is Tomoya Mashiro. It’s nice to meet you.
I’m not as good at singing as Hajime is, or as good at dancing as Mitsuru is, but…. I’ll do my best so I don’t hold back everyone else!
Nazuna: Yeah, it’s ordinary. It’s so ordinary that people will forget it all two seconds after hearing it. Come up with something with more impact!
Tomoya: Don’t say “ordinary”! That word bothers me the most!
Hajime: Hehe, it’s because “ordinary” is part of Tomoya-kun’s personality…. Ah, um, I’m Hajime Shino. I’m good at doing laundry. It’s nice to meet you♪
Nazuna: No, you should put emphasis something more idol-like. Hajime-chin, you’re good at singing, so you should mention that instead, alright~?
Unless you’re more forward about putting yourself out more, you’re not gonna be able to get any jobs, y’know~?
Well, whatever. Starting from the right, I guess it’s the good kid (Hajime), the naughty kid (Mitsuru), and the ordinary kid (Tomoya)! ♪ Easy to remember, right~?
Tomoya: I-I said not to say “ordinary”! Is that the only thing I have going for me?!
Nazuna: Ahahah. If you don’t like being called “ordinary,” then come up with a more exciting personality trait. Since it’s you, Tomoya-chin, I’m sure you’ll be fine.
I’ll help you, too~ And of course, so will the producer, right~?
And lastly, I’m Nazuna Nito. I’m the leader of “Ra*bits,” and I won’t lose to these newbies when it comes to song and dance! ♪
So, nice to meet you! Make sure to give us lots of affection, producer♪
