ALMIRA TURSYN as Tomyris, Queen of the Massagetae in THE LEGEND OF TOMIRIS (2019)

I am both a fan of the Predator movies and an absolute history nerd, so I am having the time of my life with the latest movie.
While wondering what other time periods would make a epic Predator historical piece, I was reminded by Tomyris, the Queen of the Massagetae in sixth century BC. She led her people against Cyrus the Great of the Achaemenid Empire, the ancient superpower of the time. Cyrus proposed marriage to Tomyris as a way of acquiring the Massagetae lands. She flat out said no and he waged war. After Cyrus the Great was killed in battle Tomyris did the most badass thing a warrior queen could do. She found his body, cut off his head and stuffed it into a wineskin full of blood telling the leader’s severed head, “And now you have your fill of blood”.
I believe if a Yautja saw her do this, he would instantly fall in love with her.
Queen Tomyris (date of birth unknown- c. 520s B.C.) is a historical figure I would love to know more about.
She was Queen of the Massagetae. Cyrus the Great asked for her hand in marriage, so that he could gain power on her reign, but she refused to marry him. When Cyrus begun building a bridge on the Araxes river to attack the Massagetae, she told him to remain satisfied with his kingdom and allow her to reign on her own. Cyrus initially attacked, but was defeated. He then set up a banquet with lots of wine in the tents on his camp as an ambush and withdrew. The Massagetae, led by Tomyris' son, Spargapises, were not used to wine, and got drunk because of it, and when they got drunk it was easy for Cyrus to destroy one third of their army. Spargapises was kidnapped. When he got sober he asked Cyrus to set him free, but he refused to do so and Spargapises killed himself.
Tomyris was determined to avenge her son. She led her army against the Persians, and during the battle Cyrus was killed. She found his corpse, and after saying "satia te sanguine, quem sitisti" (be satiated with blood, you who were thirsty for it) she dipped his head in a barrel full of blood, cut off his head and offended his corpse in various ways. They say that she kept his head and used it as a cup to drink wine for the rest of her life.
Okay @nixotinix I promise there’s some proper drawings of her on the way after my other current art plans, but I was briefly sketching today and-
Meet Tomyris of the Glen :3
Teenage bard with a penchant for mischief and adopting goblins >:) the way I draw her is loosely inspired by Noodle from Gorillaz, specifically phase 2 :D
