Oh my goodness! I can't believe that I JUST got why the grounder village is called Ton DC! Every time I heard someone say it on the show I just thought it was a random name that they made up somewhere along the way.... But I just saw it written out for the first time in a fic and it all makes sense now...

I just worked out that it's called tonDC because they had a sign that obviously used to say Washington DC and there's only part of the sign left I can't believe it's taken me this long
