We came out of 4 day lock-down, on beautiful sunny day, but it was weird time period. Quiet, no traffic, no noise, only occasionally sound of the helicopters. And then, on top of that, Orange Robot watched The Apocalypse Now, for the first time. We then had a long conversation about that film, parallels with our situation, about amazing sound design (first film ever to contain credit for it), etc. Orange Robot reminded me of some interview with Walter Murch, how he edits movies standing up, not sitting down, I got up and hooked everything up and started playing before doing anything else, just having this feeling in my head, quarantine and helicopters, all that kind of influenced this session. Part of ongoing project on Labud.KUP Instagram, and this will be on Bandcamp, as part of "Orange Robot Made Me Do It" Vol.4. Feel free to check out all the other videos on Instagram, and all Volumes on Bancamp, but we will be uploading original content here as well, mostly longer then 15 min pieces. Still using his old bucket-brigade delay, plus some analog modulation things which will remain a secret for now. Electricity was dirty, old Belgrade buildings have lots of home-made modified wiring, every generation adopts it for its needs, and I mean, each apartment can have totally different thing going, lots of hum, noise, really filthy, and I played loud, whole room was ringing, it was amazing experience. I hope you gonna find it enjoyable.
