Tonspender - Old Tapes
Sitting somewhere between synthwave, idm and downtempo, German producer ‘Tonspender’ creates intricate and layered electronic compositions. His 2012 debut EP ‘Examples’ caught the attention of the indie gaming world, and later had a couple tracks featured on the hit 2015 game ‘Hacknet’. Jump ahead a couple years and Tonspender’s track ‘Slow Motion’ was featured in the first official Hacknet expansion ‘Labrynths.’ With a sound suited to the imaginative, electro-infused reality of the gaming world, this year saw Tonspender taking it one step further incorporating analog synths and signal paths into his musical workflow.
