When Tony was younger, like a lot of children, he wanted a puppy. Maria didn't care either way, but Howard forbid animals in the house. Tony compromised by building Scraps, a robotic dog, and one of his first uses of basic AI. Scraps is no longer functional, but Tony keeps him in a box in his closet, and has been considering recommissioning the little guy.
