It is with a heavy heart that I must inform you, I am quitting #fiverr as of Sun. May 14th.

I have been on Fiverr doing voice overs for about 5 years. I love doing it. The sad thing is, I haven’t been getting that many people to buy my gig. Fiverr has changed a lot since I first started back in 2012. When I first started I offered my gig of $5 for every 150 words. Which was about the average. I even had a few “specials” where I would do $5 for 200 words!

In 2015 I raised my price to $5 for 75 words. It bombed! Very few people bought my gig then. So I changed it back to $5 for 150 words and promoted the hell out of it. The problem is, even at $5 for 150 words my prices are still too high. There are so many people in the “Buyer Requests” that want 800 words for $5. They are even bold enough to say, “If you’re prices do not meat my requirements, don’t apply.”

In the past 6 - 8 months, I have only gotten 4 clients to buy my gig. I can’t live on only 4 - $5 jobs. I love doing voice overs, but at this time it’s just not worth my time.

So if you would like me to do a voice over for you, please get your request in before Sun. May 14th.

Project File feature on Fiverr

Well, fiverr is at it again.

A few months ago they added the Commercial Use feature. Where YOU (a costumer) would have to pay extra if you wanted to actually use the audio file I provide you.

As I stated in my last blog, I don’t use this feature. I know I may be losing extra money but I believe my clients have been with me using my voice for different projects since 2012 for a reason. I provide a good service for a good price.

Now fiver has added the Project File delivery feature. Basely this is a feature there the costumer (that‘s you) would have to pay EXTRA for the work I just did.  In other words, if a client hired me and I did the job, they could HEAR the audio of the job I just did but they wouldn’t be able to download it, unless they paid extra for it.

AGAIN, I will NOT be using this feature. 

I figure if a customer has hired me to do a job I’m not going to make them pay extra just so they can download it and use it.
