#not me re-reading ysd #and realizing is this not ysd joel's whole ass vibe on the plane too

ok this is so funny actually because a fun fact is that i completely forgot about this scene when i was writing the first chapter of ysd. and i fully have him say in that chapter that he's never been on a plane before - which to me felt very joel, to have never really travelled much

but then shortly after that i was re-watching tlou and here he is saying he'd flown a few times before the outbreak and i was kicking myself for forgetting that and yet! somehow! you're right! the same vibe is still sort of there???? having him all crammed into the middle seat, kinda awkward and antsy, not having the worst time in the world or anything but not like - loving it lol

and yeah so anyway it was just a total happy accident because i somehow had managed to completely erase this scene from my memory when i was first writing ysd but yeah i'll always be a just little mad i got that one little detail wrong hahaha

omg noooo (han you're perfect, i love u) i love the difference but also how much of the same vibe it is. Like yeah, tv joel is bitter and angry and has this attitude of contempt for the absolute scam that is a commercial airline.

but you can't tell me tv joel wouldn't have become ysd joel if he'd been on a scammy commercial flight BUT sitting next to the woman he loves???
