yeah there’s definitely that, robert literally only had one scene alone with connor so it’s all pretty harmless for a monoshipper like me haha, but it’s also the fact that i actually enjoyed those scenes back when they aired in 2015 because it felt like the show was finally adressing robert’s sexuality a bit more and also it killed any “gay for aaron” thoughts which was great! besides it made us all wonder about what he got up to during his time away so it was exiting (especially after the radio silence post-affair reveal)

I did actually enjoy alex’s first stint too because i really wanted some new bloke to pursue aaron at that time and i felt it was really necessary so i liked alex’s presence more than i hated it (him or another tbh) bc i liked his purpose.. but his 2nd stint was a real trial for me lmao (thank god aaron seemed like he wanted out most of the time and thank god he still had a clear purpose)
