      Stressed. Yes... he was stressed.  That little voice in the back of his mind kept poking and prodding at him. Survivors guilt, maybe. “...this isn’t what I wanted.”  And-- ah.  He’d said that out loud, didn’t he? Well. Alright then. And an even bigger surprise (one, he himself is even shocked he hadn’t registered sooner)-- Tony Stark. Aka, Iron Man. He was... someone Nestor admired greatly for his intellect. 

    But alas, his mind was screaming at him. His head felt full of stones, his mouth was dry, and his hands trembled as he held his head between them.  “If I had JUST...” like a ball leaking its air, the words at this point, involuntarily slip past his lips.              And what a place for him to have a little meltdown, eh?

  With a little shake of his head, he goes to apologize-- but then Tony speaks up, and ends up... taking a moment to ponder his words.  (Ah yes, that’s right... Tony Stark... has been through quite a lot, hasn’t he..? from what the media tells the world, anyway. and then some, he was sure...)         “ I...” Nestor begins, his lips twitching momentarily into a smile-- trying to avoid a meeting... “ --suppose I just feel as if... trouble follows wherever I go. It’s never safe. People get hurt; They die. My own people--!”   watch it there, nestor...   “ ehm... t h e y . . .”   his eyes dart away, dark brows furrowing, wary of himself-- of the words that seem to be tumbling out of him; and their meaning. In a much calmer tone; quieter, as well... He shakes his head, murmuring quietly; as if the words themselves caused him pain.        “ I’m a *ahem*... a refugee...  I reached out to others, but... They’re so far away and, with how things are at the moment... It’s unsafe for them to come for me.             ...my own people...                     ... they said it would have been better off if I had died, too.”

i think what people forget is that before trainees debut, they all have their own click and friends. in regards to exo, they knew they were debuting and prepared for almost a year. they probably/majority just got to be friends starting then-- they probably knew of each of other's existence tho. i would considered some of them are good friends or just friends for exo with each other. they might close to this person in exo but in reality closer to someone outside of exo.

thats normal and i dont expect them all to be super close because they havent known each other that long and because some dont get close to other super quick (thats normal for humans). and just think about you and your friends, how long or what occurences would you considered someone your good friend. you have to be through alot and know each other a while, sometimes. and there are some you meet and just dont click for some reasons, but stay cool friends or are awkward with. we all can relate.

Oh, yes I definitely agree. They had their own circles and some exo members were around longer than others. Like...Kris wasn't really close with Junmyeon. He hung out with Kevin Shin and some other mostly English-speaking trainees his own age. He hung out with Luhan and Yixing later and then Tao arrived much, much later, after all of Kris's friends had left and Exo was really set in motion. Obviously Kris is closest with Kevin...

Exo really have known each other intimately for a long time. It's been three years now since the twelve members were finalized and they started to practice together every day and prepare for debut. The difference is they couldn't really pick each other. That's who SM chose to be in Exo. With their predebut cliques...those were the friends they chose to be with, chose to help each other transition to trainee life, leaned on each other, and honed their skills with back when they were still rough. 

Pretty much...I think of it like before late 2011, the exo members probably ranged in friendship from someone you just walked past in the hallway or someone who took you to their university on the weekends to get cheap cafeteria food with. It wasn't until they all got put into the same class that they really started to get to know each other.

People change and friendships change over three years. What may have been tumultuous three years ago might be affectionate now. I had a friend who I hated at first. Then over time we just started getting along and became best friends. I had another friend who I adored and was perfect with at first. Now we have so many differences we don't speak anymore. 

I think what I find most interesting about predebut friendships...is Kris and Junmyeon were pretty much there the longest and they didn't interact at all. It's been said that Kris is very friendly with everyone and if he doesn't like someone he just pretends they don't exist, so I do wonder if maybe he didn't like Junmyeon during predebut.
