I’m watching a livestream right now and everything is so cute!! I’ve never played these games but I’m so tempted now…

honestly, if you like slow paced life sims where you can customize...pretty much anything you want, while making friends with lovable animal characters and building up a community, growing trees, catching bugs and fish...then this game is for you. i cannot recommend it enough. it’s everything i wanted it to be. if you watch the nintendo direct we got on it before it was released, that might help you decide, i know it was the last bit of encouragement a lot of people needed to make the decision!

anyway thanks haha!! ive been owning the game for a while now, even got an oc halfway done, but then i played the dishonored series instead where i made another oc lmfao ripi really want to finally start it now though!!!! i’ll post a screenshot of willow once i do :’3also, i havent spoiled myself about the game, but i hear the skeleton man is an asshole wizard. i’m going to kiss him.

Hey :) I've been playing the demo for the new Dragon Quest game (I'm actually not done with it yet, it's longer than I expected) and I'm still on the fence on buying a long RPG of a series I never played before. Is this a good entry for a newbie? It does look lovely and you seem to like it a lot!

the demo is absolutely huge, i was amazed by that too. but it’s also such a good demo, and having played about 35 hours of the actual game now, the demo is really representative of what you’ll find in the main game itself. the only dq game i’ve played in full is 8 and that was years ago on the ps2, so this was an almost new experience for me too! but the story is completely stand alone, so no previous series knowledge is needed. it’s not like jumping into a mass effect or dragon age game.

but the story is great, the characters are all wonderful, the world is beautiful, combat is fun. honestly, if you’re enjoying the demo, and still feel the same way once you’ve finished, i’d definitely recommend getting the full game! it’s well worth it. not to mention, anything you do or collect in the demo, carries over to the full game too. so yeah, i’d definitely say if you’re enjoying your experience so far, go for it!

i am! a friend of mine told me about the second one at least, and it does seem very interesting! it’s currently in my wishlist so i wont forget about it, i just want to play pathfinder: kingmaker before that because i have had it installed for a while now, but i will think about it def!!! :D would u recommend the first game, too? i only ever heard about the second one tbh!
