There's never enough mutton in a mongolian barbeque. . The prep for this dish is hard work but then it cooks itself! First, you build a fire and get the coals really hot. Next, you throw some rocks into the fire to get them really hot. Meanwhile prep meat (usually freshly slaughtered goat) and veggies (mostly potatoes and carrots). Put the meat and vegetables in a pot with a little bit of water, tons of salt and pepper. Add the hot rocks into the dish. Slow cook for an hour on the fire. . Although I now despise mongolian food, I'll admit this meal tasted pretty good. But seriously, we had way too much meat on this trip...we never want to eat mutton again. . . . #mongolia #mongolianbbq #toomuchmutton #notenoughmeat #moresalt #food #foodprep
