So... With 2 days of preparations and with a pair of brand new #xtalon212 from @inov_8 I ran and finished @toughviking with my buddy @timmyzillen today. Apparently running 2km in November last year was enough to pull through but I wouldn't recommend it. I didn't even want to do this but around 2-3km into the race I started enjoying it so I will probably sign up for next year again. With a hell of a lot more training though... Wouldn't recommend breaking in a new pair of shoes in a race but since I bought them one day ahead I figured I'd rather get blisters during the race than getting them the day before the race. Luckily my tape game is still on fleek since my military years so I didn't get one single blister. I'm gonna be quite sore tomorrow but that's what you get for being old.
