If you had to assign a fairy tale to Chrobin, what would you choose?
Oooh, what a fun question!! I feel like there’s a lot of good options for them, but my instinct is to say the Swan Princess. Robin having a curse laid on them that turns them into a feather covered ‘beast’ and can only be broken by true love just feels very Chrobin-core to me. Admittedly, I did also write a short fic exploring that concept for FE art scuffle, so I’m sure the association is extra strong and fresh in my mind because of that 😂
In terms of more ‘classical’ fairytales though, I really like Cinderella for them as well! And then this is no longer classical, but a version of Rapunzel that’s more in line with Tangled could be cute too, though some of the details would definitely have to be tweaked. But yes—to answer the original question, Swan Princess would be my choice :D
Thanks so much for sending this! 💕
No FE4 remake... today. But with the only new 1st/2nd party announcements being two casual games (albeit very beloved ones), I think they've got something up their sleeve for next week!
YEAH........ YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A bunch of these are really hard matchups. When this series gives you good parents, it gives you GOOD parents. Like I am definitely biased for Deirdre. Not only did she do a good job raising Seliph and the Twins (until Manfroy screwed everything up twice), she gave up her life for Julia's, which is the ultimate parental sacrifice. But at the same time, Lucius is a saint for taking in all those orphans. That's a darn hard thing to do.
Also, re: Lewyn, it's less his fault and more Forseti's since he was possessed the entire time post-belhalla. I can't speak for if he hadn't died though.
It's really nice seeing there are more great FE parents than you'd actually think, right? :D
As for Lewyn, I don't know since the whole deal with Forseti is weird. Sometimes it seems he's the same person, other times, it seems like Forseti is just pretending to be him... The lack of official confirmation doesn't help.
Possibly dumb question but the cursedness got me thinking: do you think Hilda and Bloom had a good relationship despite it all?
I am way too rusty in Jugdral to give you an informed answer, but I think Hilda genuinely does not care about anyone but herself and so likely married Bloom just to gain power through both him and their children.
So, well... she's definitely a better wife than she is as a mother, but considering this is Hilda we're talking about, that phrase means absolutely nothing.
I was sent here to ask about your opinion on Nightmare
CRACKS KNUCKLES.
Nightmare is so fun to write he is just a cartoonishly evil character that did in fact win (to some degree) and with that you can decide where to take his story. But if you can justify what he does and it also is funny then that’s 10X better
I like nightmare a lot, if not for my own spin on him then I really enjoy the fact that everyone agrees that he’s supposed to be evil with no buts. And I guess that’s the best part of him, you don’t even have to really do much with him unless you want to, if you just want him to fulfill his narrative purpose then that’s fine, if you want to justify how and why he’s evil that’s fine too!
My main gripe with him really is making him Evil because he was mean to meta knight, that makes meta knight’s conflict interesting but that shouldn’t be the thing that makes him evil, it’s the fact that he’s trying to conquer the entire universe
All said I would like to hit him with a whack a mole mallet
@toon-kirby they'd be true besties. Sponge would adopt him and take care of him and make little cute clothes for him. They can't fight. Two cuties cannot harm each other 😤 these are the rules.
We cannot conceive what a fight would look like. Its too destructive.
But Spongebob would definitely win
Oh heck! How about either DimiMari or MarIgnatz for a fairy tale AU?
(Slight change of plans, gang! Gonna try doing more than 3 sentences for these from now on. Not a set amount, just enough to get the scene across.)
The clock began chiming midnight-- and Ignatz nearly doubled over in the garden as the fairy’s magic began to leave him. Panic quickly followed. Soon he would be just a merchant's second son, with no place at fancy galas like this.
Beside him, as she had been most of the night, Margravine Marianne Edmund looked concerned. "Are you alright?" she asked, laying a hand on Ignatz's shoulder.
"Yes-- No-- No! I suddenly feel..." Ignatz scrambled for an excuse but his mind had gone blank. All he could think about was how he would never be able to see Marianne again. Margraves didn't dance with commoners. It just wasn't done. “I have to go.” Ignatz stood, acutely aware that his elegant suit would disappear into plain everyday clothes in a matter of seconds, and she would likely be repulsed by the sight of him.
Marianne frowned. “But I don’t even know your-- Ah, wait!”
For Ignatz had raced out of the gardens. Halfway down the steps of the Edmund Estate, he realized he’d lost one of his handsome brown shoes. No going back for it now. He could hear the clip of Marianne’s heels not far behind-- and Ignatz only had four seconds until the magic wore away completely.
Regret heavy in his stomach, Ignatz ignored Marianne’s calls and ran out the front gates, consoling himself with the memories of a truly wonderful night.
[Send me an FE ship and a setting/AU for a short scene!]
