Well we know he has certain interests within the medical field, and I imagine that with the Johan fiasco over, he might take interest in exploring those fields again.

Tenma is quite an emotional person, though he's also very reserved. I think at first he might try to shoulder it alone, and sort of numb himself on the outside. But when the right person asks him if he's all right or gives him a hug I think it would all come crashing down at once. He can't hold it in forever.

Grimmer Q’s:

22. Given a blank piece of paper, a pencil, and nothing to do, what would happen?

I don't see Grimmer as much of the type to doodle, but he might take that time to write stuff down - tasks he doesn't want to forget, information that's fresh, the draft of a new journalism piece....plenty could happen!

48. How do they express love?

Oh this is a super interesting one!

I tend to see Grimmer as being very touchy. He isn't really sure how you're supposed to express love, but he is at least in tune with his senses, so he uses what he can. Lots of little, subtle gestures and touches and hand holding and hugs and just...small things. Also I tend to think he's particularly observant of the people he loves...so another way he shows it is in how he notices when they seem "off".

These go for non-romantic love too, just with different applications.

Smoking and spending, m'dudes. Smoking she knows isn't healthy but she doesn't care at All. It keeps her sane. Spending at the very least she sees a positive result from; like if she's buying clothes, she looks fancy. Furniture makes the house fancy. These are good things, no?

17. Preferred mode of dress and rituals surrounding dress

She has to look 11/10 at all times. She takes incredible care of herself, from her skin to her hair for her clothes. She likes to look good, so she sets lots of time aside to make sure she can get ready before she starts the day.

Mmm...I don't know that Eva WOULD partake in something she sees as a waste of time. Possibly games? I can't see her viewing much value in sitting around playing cards but she might still have fun. I suppose post-canon she might feel this way about lavish parties.

Sexuality Headcanon: When I first watched Monster I placed him as ace, but….tbh man the more I thoguht about it, the gayer he got. I definitely agree with the apparent fandom consensus of gay.

Gender Headcanon: Dude. Man. Fellow. Guy.

A ship I have with said character: Have I talked about Tenma/Grimmer enough yet? No? You want more? Well boy howdy it’s a good ship!! Outside of that I can see bits of Lunge & Grimmer. Not necessarily because of the chemistry they have, because idk there really isn’t much actual chemistry there…but the way they think and operate complements each other.

A BROTP I have with said character: Grimmer & Lunge, BAMFs of Ruhenheim! Also…..neither of these are quite a BROtp and more so semi-parental but Grimmer & Suk and Grimmer & Sausage Girl. Their interactions are just wonderful and he should have adopted both of them tbh. 

A NOTP I have with said character: Grimmer x Suk is proooobably the most prominent? That’s his son excuse y’all. And apparently there’s a comment somewhere about Grimmer x sausage girl? THAT’S HIS DAUGHTER

A random headcanon: The idea of regaining his lost emotions is something that Grimmer yearns for, but is also apprehensive of; he’s spent so long building up who “Grimmer” is, and worries that if he were to regain the full capacity of his emotions, he might not like the person that comes out of it - particularly if it means the integration of Steiner’s rage.

General opinion over said character: Honest to goodness my absolute favourite anime character period. I love this man so much. I’ve yelled all about it since the start of this blog and then some but literally he’s just such a kind soul….he went through so much shit but he keeps pushing himself to keep going, trying to prevent the same thing form happening to others and expose the asshat behind it all and we just see him act with such kindness and generosity towards complete strangers and yet on top of that we know he also had a failed marriage where his emotionally inhibited nature drove his wife into sorrow, and he only really married her because it was beneficial to him and honestly he’s just such a complex character with all this burden and yet he has so much hope to give people. If I’m feeling down I just watch ep 40 because he’s such a god damn sweetheart and really brightens my day.

Sexuality Headcanon: A solid bisexual, this one! 

Gender Headcanon: Cis male……tbh I don’t really have a lot of interesting gender headcanons for Monster LOL. What you see is what you get.

A ship I have with said character: Well the big one is of course Tenma/Grimmer. Originally I didn’t really have any ships for Tenma but I saw lots of that on tumblr and on my second watch through it really got me thinking about their chemistry and gosh I love it so much, it just seems like it would be very balanced and healthy to me. But on a secondary note, and this is probably gonna come from like out of left field but I very casually ship Tenma/Rudi in like an AU setting….they have all the right stuff for “met at university & started going out” lmfao. Rudi’s even confused and jealous.

A BROTP I have with said character: Tenma & Grimmer in a non-romantic setting, then Tenma & Rudi. Look the guy knew there was a dangerous massacre in ruhenheim but he still goes because his friend Tenma is there. BRO. T. P. And finally honourable mention to Maurer :’( 

A NOTP I have with said character: Idk if there’s anyone who even ships it but Tenma x Roberto is a big one. And of course the twins.

A random headcanon: Post-series, he’ll sometimes try to brush his long-ass hair out of his face out of habit and then remember it’s not that long anymore.

General opinion over said character: Honestly I relate very strongly with this guy. I was in his corner from the start and I think he’s a wonderfully written character. I’m an absolute sucker for idealists and that’s Tenma to a T.

The dumbest thing is that it originally aired at 11 pm. If your child is under 13 and staying up that late on a regular basis then you have other things to be concerned about other than protecting them from sex.

See this makes it even funnier...like it’s already absurd that certain parts were censored while other more violent ones were left untouched but if it had at least been because the hour was early enough I MIGHT be more understanding? But this is just silly tbh.
