Perfectly fine as a coping mechanism, I did so with toothless when I had really bad depression and it definitely helped to have that aspect to relate to.

But consistently headcanoning certain characters to be gay/trans is harmful. It’s also annoying, like I get we’re starved for representation but damn, stop taking people’s characters and acting like you know them better. Like I get there being hints and shit that may foreshadow, and basing it off of that is fine but y’all are like “oh this character doesn’t like taking his shirt off that makes him trans uwu”. Us not having representation is not our main goal, our goal should be to educate people and not force them to make a diverse cast.

Leave people’s characters alone. I’d be pissed if this happened to my ocs

as a transmed what are your opinions on cis identified people who bind and tuck for comfort or aesthetic reasons

If it’s something that’s stimulating and helps day to day, I see no problem. In cases of aesthetics I just hope those who do so know the dangers tucking and binding bring. I always stick with informed consent, so if the person knows what they’re doing and it makes them happy, so be it!
