Well, I don't hate it but ive just slowly stopped reading drarry fanfictions and consuming drarry media.
Why, you ask? Well, for a number of reasons, but let me start by the main and important one.
1. Shortage of Bottom Harry fanfics
Now, I've always been a Drarry shipper since probably 2018 after seeing videos of it online and reading fanfictions of it on wattpad,fanfiction.net and ao3 . And because of this i mostly stumbled upon bottom harry x top draco works and ive always thought that was the default and it was for a lot of millennial drarry authors. And even tho im gen z I would read a lot of fanfics by millennials (bear in mind this was 2018 so a lot of genzs probably weren't writing fanfictions) and I loved them ! So of course Id love Bottom Harry too because it was the only thing available and it was popular and well loved. But fast forward to around 2019 to 2020 we get dracotok. Now dracotok appeared from gen zs who grew up with the Harry potter movies (not books) and due to rise of popularity of Draco ppl also discovered Drarry and now we are seeing more and more drarry fanfics with Bottom Draco rather than Harry because a lot of ppl view their favourite character in a ship as the bottom and because now we have more draco fans we have more bottom draco fans.
2. NO ONE READS THE DAMN BOOKS !!
Look ik we all hate j.k. Rowling, but it's not an excuse to base the characters on the movie version rather than the book version. What I've noticed among book readers is that most of the time, they will be Harry>Draco, but movie lovers will be Draco>Harry, and this also affects who they prefer as bottoms. Another thing is the mischaracterisation like What do you mean Draco is abused HARRY WAS THE ONE WHO WAS ABUSED, Draco was a pampered little pureblood why are you painting him the victim and highlighting his non existent trauma and not Harry's? Like it doesnt make sense another thing is absolutely hate is how Draco fans write Harry as only to be Dracos protective boyfriend and then describe Draco as this little twinky princess that needs protecting by Harry, they butcher down Harry's character as only a love interest for Draco and another reason why this happens is because a popular headcanon where Harry is brown (i have nothing against this, its absolutely amazing as a brown person myself). Now a lot of people dont consider darker characters as "bottom material/submissive" or "feminine" they see them more of the dom which is why youll see many popular (straight) couples in media where the brown person is the boy rather than the girl and even in mlm media where there is a darker skinned character he will always be the top and never the bottom because most bottoms are associated with being "twinky" or a little feminine and people cant handle seeing a brown person or most poc in that way.
3. No more good works
Ive been bored with a lot of plots of drarry ffs for some time now because every new fanfic is the exact same, no one writes about Harry's trauma, people slander the Golden Trio, there's less and less Harry-centric fanfics and every new fanfic is twink Draco x his protective buff Alpha who will do whatever he wants and it really annoys me. First of all yes Harry is a strong wizard and hes athletic due to Quidditch but are we forgetting that Draco ALSO plays Quidditch and that Draco is canonically taller than Harry like wdym "size difference" and "Draco is smaller than Harry" WHERE IN THE WORLD DO YOU GET THIS FROM ! bro, give me back the times Harry was described as pretty and lithe rather than "muscular." BRO HE WAS MALNOURISHED AS A CHILD, that shi affects you all your life whereas Draco lived his childhood spoiled by his parents. I'm surprised he didn't look like Dudley 😭😭. Bottom Draco fans are soooo deluded omg.
So yeah this was my little rant I just had to get all these opinions out somewhere because it was suffocating having to keep it to myself and I have hope other people will agree with at least some of this 🫶

They were soft, a stark contrast to Harry's calloused ones. Neither of them moved, a sense of anticipation coursing through him. Malfoy pulled back and opened his box, leaning back on the sofa.
"Yes, that is what I said. Ten points to Griffyndor for having better hearing abilities than Weasley."
Malfoy took a spoonful of the mouse and wrapped his lips around it, his eyes closed as if savouring every flavour.
"Oh fuck you—", Malfoy moaned. He fucking moaned around the spoonful of mousse.
Harry Potter isn't too fond of what his life became, so he goes back in time to "the glory days", aka before the story we know happened so he can relive it (not with a time turner, some other kind of time travel with different rules) and everything goes smoothly until the sorting ceremony, in which he first of all forgets to ask the sorting hat not to put him in slytherin, and the sorting hat also sees his character and how it's different so it's like "okay asshole, slytherin"
And so Harry's previous life drastically changes and at first he thinks for the worse, but slowly he realizes he really is great in slytherin, not to mention being close with Draco Malfoy is more appealing than he thought
(if I were to write this I would draw a lot of things from SuperCarlinBrother's if Harry was in slytherin series, exept the ships, they're crazy for that, also from If Draco killed Dumbledore because he was rlly badass in that and he makes a great inside man, that's what Harry said, anygays, I'll shut up now)
