You want my socks ?
This is horrendously lazy. I’ll finish them because it’s important, but now I just want to have them out there.
Pride Month ended before I could get to the supervillains and I thought it unfair for them to be left out entirely just because I was tired, work is hard, and and it’s easy to run out of steam with projects as arduous as these (as a guy who does not do color much, if at all.)
Anyhow, these are the first identifiably LGBTQIA supervillains in my Heroes Universe. I’m sure it’ll come to me who else are eventually. I mean it took me years for me to realize two of my League of Heroes members were boyfriends.
Anyhow, without further ado, prepare to learn about Dr. Hair-Tonic, Diamond Luce, Top Master, and Volcano under the cut
So the first three are “old guard” of modern supervillains in the sense that they are not members of “Freaks of Nature” and “Nature’s rejects”.
So first up we have the agender Dr. Herman Tinsel aka Dr. Hair-Tonic.
The good doctor was a biochemist, underappreciated and ignored with their smaller stature, shyness, and being a bit of a little fish in a big pond. They’re good but they’re not that good. The fact that they defied having any typical gender norms didn’t help at all. So when they were suddenly transformed, they got prehensile hair and sudden increased aggression and ambition, striking out against a scientific community that shunned and ignored them.
Dr. Hair-Tonic does not actually like being a supervillain and slowly loses steam on their rampages and just becomes a regretful moody person whose occasional lashes when slighted accidentally makes them out to be a monster, even after they’ve retired from villain-ing
Next up we have the asexual Lucille Lennon aka Diamond Luce, or LSD to her friends.
There’s not much one needs to know about Diamond Luce. She’s a career criminal involved in thefts, smuggling, and the drug trade, and she loves causing trouble. She’s an a-hole, basically. Diamond Luce gets her name because she can turn carbon in the air into diamonds. They’re not high quality or anything , she started off her career selling these falsies but people eventually caught on so she took on a more aggressive role in the criminal world.
And then there’s this jackass, the genderfluid Top Master.
Top Master is mysteriously independently wealthy, a genius in the fields of mechanical engineering and information technology. Top Master sort of just showed up one day, blowing walls into banks with their quirky remote controlled tops, causing chaos and destruction, having a good laugh about it, and spinning away. As far as people can tell, they don’t need money, they just do this for the hell of it. Many suspect they’re just too smart and really bored.
No one knows anything about Top Master. Unlike the majority of the villains in the Heroes Universe, Top Master does not appear to have a civilian identity that can be readily identified, despite not wearing a mask (or at least not a visible one).
Top Master responds to both of the commonly accepted pronouns and many suspect that they are a completely different person outside of villain-ing to such an extent that using their physical description to attempt to find their civilian identity is a fool’s errand.
And now it’s time for the all gal group, Nature’s Rejects. Nature’s Rejects, alongside The Freaks of Nature, are a group of young-ish supervillains and next gen upstarts that antagonize the older villains as well as regular heroes. They have an emphasis on fun, delusions of grandeur, a sense of supremacy due to their abilities, and that sense of invincibility a lot of younger people have. They think they have all the answers.
Volcano is trans and Nature’s Rejects’ very own zen master, a calm, cool, and collected woman whose default state seems to be quiet meditation. She has the ability to control fire, a power both dangerous and destructive, but it is kept under a very leisurely and controlled pace with Volcano behind the wheel.
People on the outside looking in are baffled that someone this controlled and reasonable could be in with these punks. She thinks these people are idiots. These punks are exactly where she belongs they are the family she chose.
Add: Tracy’s here first. DA came straight from her job when she work’s done.
Ps. Happy birthday to Molly😏
