W O W that is a L O T sounds like an awesome trip!!! i did a lot of that washington/ny stuff on my trip in 8th grade and i know how tiring it is plus FLYING so you must be exhausted omfg GO SLEEP

it was so cool omg i miss it already aND I JUST SLEPT FOR 12 WHOLE HOURS GO ME (although i keep waking up bc it’s the middle of winter and this house is cold r i p)

aw thank u friend i missed you too!! it is good to be back :D!! im very tired so prepare for writing on par with that of a 11yr old- ok so!! on the 3rd of july we flew from wellington to auckland and then we went from auckland to san francisco! we left auckland at around 7.30pm and it was an 11 hour flight from there to sf and i was in the middle seat r i p. because of time zones we arrived on the 3rd of july at around 11 am i think?? but jet lag wasnt too bad thank jesus. anyway we had a small tour of san fran on the way to our hostel and then we were allowed out into the city for a bit!! i went to chinatown and got my brother a game of thrones figurine. We spent four days in SF and honestly i didnt feel like i was in a foreign country?? it was really similar to wellington in terms of general atmosphere and even climate just a LOT bigger like omg my neck hurt from craning my neck up so much to look at the pretty buildings. and we went to the SF aquarium and alcatraz which was super cool! i bought lots of books at the alcatraz shop and a cute dolphin and sweatshirt at the aquarium!!

OK after SF we flew to washington!! and like SF was like an wellington summer in terms of climate (21 degrees celcius which according to google is 69 degrees fahrenheit) so when we stepped outside for the first time in washington we ALL DIED OK THE HEAT WAS BAD BUT THE HUMIDITY MAN!! I SAW PPL IN SUITS AND WAS LIKE???? THEM BEING SATAN SPAWN IS THE ONLY REASONABLE EXPLANATION (acclimatization you say? no. literal hell spawn. fuck science) so i think we spent 3 days in W??? and on one day i went with the active group (team steve ftw) and died omg so muucchhh walkinggg but it was probably the most fun day tbh i really liked the group. We saw the washington monument!! and the white house!! and the vietnam veterans and WWII memorials which were beautiful. 2nd day in washington i went back to the white house bc my phone was dumb and deleted all my photos from that day ugh. then me and my friend victoria got lost looking for an art store so we had to get a cab back to the hostel oh well

So after Washington we drove south into Virginia where we went to a Civil War Adventure camp for a night which was pretty cool! we got to wear parts of the uniform of a civil war soldier (big wool coat, canteen, haver sack (?) and a lil box for bullets that i forget the name of -shrug emoji)  we got to run around playing war games carrying big wooden gun replicas and learning march formations that was hard but really fun!! (also one of the guys working there was really hot... his name was harrison but we called him grape juice boy bc he managed to look good pouring grape juice... like when the instructor said he was only 17 every girl looked up and was like ‘17 you say’ it was great)

Then we headed up to Gettysburg where we stayed in ~comfort suites~ and omigosh the rooms were so nice i had my own double bed and it was so commfffyyyyyyyyyyy bless

And then we drove from gettysburg to new york!! which was really cool we got to visit the statue of liberty (thought it would be bigger tbh) and ellis island. (if i had to pick one thing i didnt like it was the commercialisation of it all. there were gift shops at alcatraz and gettysburg war memorial museum and at ellis island and like it didnt seem like they were really remembering the seriousness of the subject matter and were more focused on tacky shirts at the gift shop, it annoyed me idk)

i really really liked soho!!! it was just so artsy and nice and i found an art store hallelujah!!

so after ny we flew to LAX (6 hour flight) and we left for NZ at 7.30pm on the 16th of july and bc timezones arrived at auckland at 6.40am on the 18th of july after a 12 hour flight. which is weird. i missed out an entire friday. not that i would have done anything productive but w/e. and then we flew back to wellington!!!! we almost missed the flight bc the LAX>AUK flight was delayed but now im home!!! this definitely isnt everything but i feel dead after almost 19 hours flying r i p in pepperonis me, i’ll be posting pictures within the next day so keep an eye out for those!! xoxo i missed you lots!!!

THIS ISNT REALLY GOSSIP THIS IS JUST FACT ok so apparently ppl at my work get real fuckin crazy bc we had one girl who was working there, and she was nice enough i guess but no one really liked her bc she was super slow and kind of really dumb??? whatever not really important but anyway one day im like "hey i havent seen nicole for a while whats up with that" and someone's like "oh yeah she had to quit bc shes pregnant" THIS CHICK IS 18-19 SHED BEEN GONE FOR MONTHS AND I DIDNT EVEN KNOW

THIS ONES EVEN CRAZIER, there's this other chick who's my age and she's dating this older guy, like early 20's i think, gross right?? anyway idk the WHOLE story but i think at some point she dumps the dude for his best friend, gets back together with the other dude - and i mean this guy drives her to work instead of her parents - and im working with her one night and she goes out to say hi to him and she comes back in and she's like "whatshisface just proposed to me??????" WHICH HANG ON A SEC

FIRST OF ALL this dude comes up to a FAST FOOD RESTAURANT to PROPOSE to his 16/17-YO GF /WHILE SHE'S WORKING/ - AND THEN SHE FUCKIN SAYS YES!!!! she told me this and i was standin there like..... ok...... then the same thing happens with the other chick where im like "hey i havent seen kristina in a while" and someones like "oh yeah her mom sent her to rehab in las vegas bc she had like a opium withdrawal episode while she was at work" i think she got pregnant too SO. YEAH.
