Hi! I'm currently in ASL 2 at my local community college and I love it so much, I need a Deaf related topic for the class and I can't find anything that really interests me. Do you have any ideas? or any good websites to look up?

(for sake of my hands i’m saying deaf when i usually mean d/Deaf/hoh) There are so many topics. You could talk about gallaudet's first deaf president or its first deaf black graduate. Or deaf olympians. Inventions by deaf people. old cures that people tried, new deaf technologies, deaf accessibility, access to interpreters, closed/open captioning and lack thereof, comparing the views of different cultures when it comes to their views on the deaf, how silent movies affected the deaf and what happened when the ‘talkies’ came around, mainstream v deaf school, oralism, the history of deaf ppl in schools, why asl wasn’t allowed in deaf schools for a long time, alexander graham bell and his impact on the deaf, the man who discovered that asl was an actual language (he studied at gallaudet) and his impact, and much much more!
