"People I interact with a lot, I consider my friends. I tend to feel a strong connection to people that are my friends. It's not a hard title to earn in all honestly. I just want to get to know a person a little and I will have an honest concern for the people I call friend.

Take Kaze and Kumo for example. I consider them both my friends. I can about both of them and I get upset when anything happens to them, but I consider Kumo closer. Nothing against Kaze, he just doesn't talk much. To basically anyone, it's just how he is. I'd love to have a real conversation with him one of these days. It's just that between the two of them Kumo is the one who talks. He's been a bit more open with me, but I've gotten to know both of them decently well because of the tech they use."

"He squirmed his way into my life and before I knew it he was one of my closest friends. I wouldn't say I ever really viewed him negatively but I absolutely saw all of them as foolish for a while and head strong idiots that didn't understand what they were getting into. I didn't have much of a positive outlook of the Comodeen in the beginning of it all and Cid of all people, I thought was bold and outlandish for daring to speak to me the way he did.

I thought he was pushy and I didn't much care for the way he acted when we first met, if I'm honest, but now? That man is special to me. He feels like one of the only people I can confide in and I honestly should do so more often. He... Cid cares about me. He sees me.

He sees the man and not the sword and I honestly don't get too much of that nowadays. He takes my health excessively seriously. More so than I do sometimes. He's not afraid to talk back to me, and for as much as that put me off at first, I wouldn't have him talk to me any other way. Not now, not ever.

He's - seen a lot of my life. He's seen places that are special to me. He's listened. He's saved my life. He didn't have to pick me up after we sealed The Earl but he did. They all did. They all chose to save me. He's seen me in serious disrepair and without my Mist, of all things and he still believed in me.

He still believed in my abilities. He's never doubted what I was capable of and he chose to trust me before I ever trusted them. He forcibly made himself my doctor and he handles all health related issues and technology related issues personally. I think I about killed him when he found out how long it'd been since my mask had been maintained. He almost had a heart attack on the spot.

Cid cares about me, and it shows in the way he treats me and talks to me. Cid sees me. He sees Pilvi before he sees anything else, even if he doesn't quite have that name yet. I don't know what I'll do without him. When I met him, I was put off by his boldness but now - I welcome his lectures. They make me feel at home."

“Humanity? Now that’s a question if I’ve ever heard one. I’m almost afraid to answer, because the humans can be quite... emotional. Some of them have proven to be rather touchy on some simply mundane subjects.  They’re all so ... strange. Humans are strange.  They’re quite odd honestly.  They’re odd and emotional and I don’t claim to understand them at all. 

While I might look similar to a human, I am what would be known in their tongue as “Humanoid” but I am not human, and really how arrogant is it to call things that look like them but are not them humanoid? I don’t call them ihminen kaltainen. I personally find the word ‘humanoid’ rather rude. I’m sure you can see what I’m getting at.  

But they aren’t all bad even if they are confusing. They’re confusing but I would never label them bad. Arrogant maybe but not bad. Humans do seem to have this unyielding sense of self imposed importance though. Somehow they seem to think the entire universe revolves around their Earth as if there couldn’t possibly be anything else out there and if someone even looks like them slightly  they must be one of them. They’re rather naïve.  

It takes all kinds I suppose... 

But I’ve met all kinds of them and I still think every one of them is strange. In their own unique way, they are all so very odd. Human culture and customs evade me. Their food though... if the humans have mastered anything it is cuisine. There is not a single thing I have been given from human cuisine that is not utterly divine in some way. If only Black Wind could take some cues...   

But I have met many humans and all of them are very different from one another. I keep saying they’re odd but I’m sure to them I am just the same. None of them have horns after all and their eyes look much more like Windarian eyes to me. Though, I don’t think they quite have Black Wind’s sight.  Cid doesn’t seem to anyway. I don’t know about these Amestrians though... they all seem to be capable of strange magic I have yet to understand.  

I can’t complain about them. The humans I mean. At this rate it almost feels as though I’m collecting them. I have gained so many companions in the passing days and nearly all of them seem to be human.  I will give them that. Even after all the disaster that’s struck them, the humans persist. They are a resilient species. I’m almost positive that if for some reason Chaos wanted to wipe them out, even then somehow they would find a way to survive. So I drop my horns to that.”
