Windaria's Unlimited :: Wielder of the Golden Gun
⋆୨𖤓୧⋆ The wielder of the Infernal Father's gun, would be the one who seal his heart to this beast and survives. A grand champion that would rise above the rest to take his seat as War God of Windaria, known only through legend as Asher.
As time passed, the Windarian people came to find that one such soul - the black blood - Fekete Szél - was Asher incarnate. With his heart sealed to the gun, he was accepted as it's chosen wielder by the God within, the Infernal Father - Bahamut. The gun itself is grafted into Kaze's body by way of his right arm, that gets reconstructed when the Magun is thawed. As long as the vial that contains his heart remains undamaged, Kaze himself can never die. He is effectively immortal as the only beings that can damage the vial are one White Cloud, his Unlimited counterpart and Chaos itself.
This gun grants it's wielder the ability to access the Soil Spiral in a way that normal Soil Sages cannot. It gives it's commander the ability to combine varying colors of Soil Bullets to summon a variable army of Soil Spirits.
Pictured: Phoenix, Typhoon, Ixion, Shiva, Atmos, Meteor Master, Ifrit, Odin (there's more.)
A Soil Spirit's power is generally unmatched in most cases and delivers a devastated blow to whatever foe unleashes them on.
You can see Kaze summon here:
In order to summon a spirit, Kaze uses different combinations of colors of Soil and Soil Poetry by way of describing the Soil being used.
(Please remember Soil is not dirt but instead it is the crystallization of a passed on Soul. Every Soul in the Universe is either comprised of one of two elemental building blocks and they are Soil and Mist. Most things possess a Soul of Soil therefore their soul carries that color hue.)
But the ability to call forth an army of Soil Spirits is not the only thing the Magun is capable of. Kaze is a skilled Soil Sage and as such can control powerful magics. He can command Soil to do many things but one of the other abilities the Magun possesses is spellcasting.
Different color combinations will result in a Soil Spirit, but what if he were to use the same. For example, we'll use Fire Red.
If Kaze were to fire a single Fire Red from the Magun it would cast a spell.
1 Fire Red = Fire
2 Fire Red = Fira
3 Fire Red = Firaga
It works like this for most spells in the terms of general spellcasting. The more of the same type of Soil he uses, the stronger the spell. Kaze can fast cast with the Magun and fire off as many spells as he has the ammo for. Further more, being as connected to the Soil Spiral as he is, he can manifest bullets into form whenever he needs them.
This is why Windarian Religion dictated that whoever was accepted by the Infernal Father's Golden Gun would become a War God. Just as Kumo can use the Maken telepathically because of his connection to it, Kaze can manifest ammunition for the Magun at will and fast cast with it as long as he has the right combination and he doesn't over tax his heart.
Because just like the the Maken is Kumo's soul, the Magun is Kaze's heart. Both weapons are the Unlimited's very lives and as long as they remain undamaged they are nigh unstoppable forces of nature.
Symphony to Silencer || Sinfonia in Wonderland
⋯✧・♪♫♪・✧⋯ Sinfonia was forty-five (45) years old when he landed in Wonderland with Sielu and Sydän. The three of them landed in Wonderland on the second (2nd) day of Misterica's destruction after Sinfonia had a lapse in his own sanity when Usva was killed in action trying to defend Misterica. This caused the musician to rush out into the gale force winds to try to find his fallen prince / liege / nephew even though doing so would have led to his demise had it not been for Sielu and Sydän's quick actions in an attempt to bring him back and save his life.
They managed to find him amongst the rubble and the gales unable to fly and simply trying to survive while clung to a broken piece of one of the sky islands. After taking Sielu's hand, the younger musician lost his own footing and it caused the three of them to tumble back out into the gales and to be blown in the dimensional pillar that had marked Misterica as Chaos' next target. (The black pillar as Mistericans called it)
With no way to fight against the gales, Sinfonia pulled both Sielu and Sydän to his chest as they were thrown into the pillar and into Wonderland in order to protect them. He did so by even breaking their fall onto Wonderland's grounds with his own body. Several of his ribs were broken on impact and he was rendered unconscious for a week's time. It took several rounds of Sydän breathing purple mist directly into Sinfonia's lungs even to get the man to come around, and several more to get him to be able to get out of bed.
It was from there, that their troubles started.
They couldn't speak the language, they didn't understand anything anyone was saying to them, and they had scarce access to food and water. No money to their names, they begged their way into an inn in town, and stayed there until they had to leave due to a dangerous situation outside of their control.
That situation being a Mist Eater by the name of Voltaire. A dragon like man that consumes Mist and works as a bounty hunter within the space of Wonderland's boarders. Upon meeting Sielu and Sinfonia in town one day, Voltaire has been hunting them ever since. The three of them had many hard scrapes and run-ins with the man that lead to countless injuries and close calls.
Five years(5) into their stint in Wonderland, the three of them were separated when they were attacked by a tiger like beast that put Sinfonia in the position of choosing to give up his own life so Sielu and Sydän could survive or damning all three of them. Ultimately, Sinfonia chose to give up his own life in order to save theirs but after the pair of twins had long since fled (much to Sinfonia's begging them to just go) he was saved in the nick of time by a band of passing traders that felled the beast attacking him and saving his life.
Injured, he ended up stuck in a near by town for eight (8) months while he mostly recovered before he started looking for Pilvi, Sielu and Sydän again. Doing so he took on the role of bounty hunting in order to gain the funds to survive and that was when "The Silencer" was born. Refusing to give anyone his name, rumors started to spread that there was a bounty hunter that could "steal your screams away" and they were calling this man "The Silencer" so Sinfonia just went with it.
However this is where I can explain the problems.
Ever since Sinfonia was a small boy he was diagnosed with multiple mental health issues. He manages Bipolar Disorder, severe anxiety, and depression - and this was all before Wonderland. On top of this, Sinfonia has multiple health issues such as impaired hearing (for a Misterican), carpal tunnel syndrome in both wrists and an arrhythmia in his heart that can cause tachycardia. He lives with weakness, shaking, chest pain, migraines, chronic pain and fainting spells and this was all managed through his doctors and the use of medication.
He has not had his medication since they landed in Wonderland because when they fell into this world, he only had left what was on his person at the time. That of which, he used up in the matter of a couple months after he lessened his own dosages in order to try to "stretch it out" for as long as he could.
So basically, Sinfonia has been completely unmedicated for about seventeen (17) years, after being medicated for several decades. His mental illnesses are psychotic by nature. Meaning he experiences both severe depression and dangerous mania. His hypomanic states can also be dangerous and he can and has had his own bouts with psychosis.
Ever since he got separated from Sielu and Sydän, he started experiencing hallucinations of his older brother, the King, Helakanpunainen Aurinko. - Sinfonia just calls him Helakan for short- and has been known to have full on conversations with this ghost that follows him around.
Sinfonia is not stable by any stretch of the word but has been unable to find stability without the assistance of proper medication. Even though he has access to medical care now through Cid and the Comodeen; Cid is unfamiliar with Misterican medicine and does not speak the language so he is struggling to figure out what Sinfonia needs.
This means the pain medication being offered to him is more like a temporary patch to a burst pipe than actually helping the damage. Cid is doing his best with what he has but Sinfonia severely needs the assistance of a Misterican doctor and access to purple mist. Access he lost when Sydän passed as she was purple and her mist was healing in nature.
Sinfonia is aggressive, and cut throat when coming to handle most situations within the space of Wonderland after learning how the people here take advantage of kindness. He's had to become more assertive than he ever was back home not only to force people to listen to him but to stand an even playing ground against other people/species that are dramatically larger than him in size.
Even more so, due to his humanoid like nature most people of Wonderland already carry a predispositioned hatred for him mainly based on how he looks. Even if being human is the furthest thing from the truth about him.
Almost all creatures of Wonderland are Soil based souls and some of which can tell that Sinfonia (and the others) are very much not Soil based and they discriminate against them accordingly for it. This has caused Sinfonia's hatred towards Soil Souls to only grow in size. He's been called a slew of different names while living here, everything from fog breath to short horn to four horns to sky mouse and he has a special place in his heart for hatred towards each one.
Sinfonia's life on Misterica was truly that of a want for not situation. Not only was he one of the most famous men within the space of the entire kingdom due to his musical prowess, but he is also royal by blood. The King's Little Brother (cousin) so he was raised within the walls of the palace and almost never left them.
He didn't have to fight for anything and hardly took any form of discrimination from most people and while he did get it from some people, it was few and far between and swiftly dealt with by the people around him. There were societal consequences for disrespecting him and I think that is a heavy thing to remind because none of this exists within the space of Wonderland. If and when someone disrespects him, no one within the space of this world gives a damn and that's just not something Sinfonia was used to.
He went from setting at the very top of the chain of command to the very bottom rung of society simply because of the way he is built and the make up of his soul. Being a Mist based creature has only proved to a disadvantage to him because of this - his hatred for the world around him amplified. His family was put in danger constantly and seeing the multiple times they all nearly died at the hands of a bounty hunter, an angry member of whatever town they were in, or even a Mist Eater - Sinfonia grew colder and more aggressive each passing day.
Sinfonia grew up in a want for not situation but he also grew up during active war time for Misterica. He lost his father to the war with Windaria and he nearly lost his God Father multiple times, and seeing as how Windarians worship the Soil Spiral and have deemed themselves the guardians of it - that is where his hatred for Souls of Soil begins.
The scrapes with death, being hunted by Mist Eaters like prey animals and lack of any and all medical care only made it worse. He was in total isolation for twelve years not knowing if his husband was dead or alive and in that time what was once the Symphony became The Silencer.
The Source of Life || The Linear Mist
The Universe was created through the force of two energies. These energies came from the Goddess of Creation and the God of Destruction. The Linear Line, as the path of life from birth to death is that of the lifeforms born of the element known as Mist.
Mist is a magical substance that exists in the universe creating life through air and aquatic means. It's primarily an element in relation to the sky and the lifeforms created from it tend to hail from those areas - be it rivers, oceans, seas or the sky. Aquatic and Airborne beings tend to have souls comprised of mist. In turn, that is what is considered "A Celestial being".
Pure-Blooded Celestials are the only Mist born beings that can produce the substance within their own bodies and are in turn the closest to the Mother of all Mist, The Goddess of Creation, Lady Tiamat, herself. It is a substance that when one passes, expands the universe. So Pure-Blooded Celestials are beings that don't leave corpses.
When a Pure-Blooded Celestial dies, their DNA breaks and their physical forms fade out from existence, in turn dispersing their Mist back into the skies above. From there that Mist returns to the heavens to be guided in a way that it would be used to expand the universe further or repair parts of standing things that would otherwise be lost. Mist can create the skies, the rivers, the oceans and the seas. It can mix and become the very worlds around us to further grow out and expand the reaches of the beings that live within this grand cosmos.
All life is created from one of these two energies, whether they know it or not. The other energy being known as Soil and it is Mist's stark contrast. Mist functions on the Linear Path, where as Soil the Spiral. Mist as an element can be harnessed for various uses such as magic, energy, food, life, etc - but the thing to remember about Mist is that at the end of the day it is an element of creation and it is used to as an energy source to accomplish various things. Even if that thing is providing a being with life itself.
In order to activate this energy one has to be attuned to the mist and generally that means being born to it and having Celestial Blood of some form or another within their being. Mist will only activate and obey the commands of it's user when a linear path is drawn - or a straight line. If there is even the slightest curve within the path made, Mist will not activate and whatever effect that was to attempt to be used will fail to do anything.
So blade masters who use Mist based magics and attacks do so with perfectly straight slices of their blade or paths drawn with their hands. Mist can be activated by any straight line motion regardless of what the line was created with. Even a mere twig is enough to summon Mist's mighty force.
Beings of Soil cannot use magics born of Mist as they are not Mist attuned and due to Soil's habit of having rather nasty reactions when mixed with it's opposing counterpart.
Mist comes in a varying array of colors, but only Pure-Blooded Celestials ever display them. They come in every color of the rainbow excluding black (hue) and are generally reflected in the Celestial's hair color and breath.
The Infernals || The Children of Destruction
˚*ੈ✩‧₊˚ The Windarians are, Soil Souled, creatures that are what is known in the universe as Pure Blood Infernals. This meaning that they are the closest born to the God of Destruction, Lord Bahamut, himself. Due to their close proximity to his bloodline, The Infernals are Soil Souled creatures that all possess a hue to their blood. Infernals being direct descendants of Bahamut bleed the same color as the Soil that composing their soul.
They possess an augmented set of senses when in comparison to that of a human and sharpened fangs. It was also not uncommon to see a Windarian that refused to trim their claws. They are a warrior race that values the collective above the individual and they base the value one has on that collective based on how the hue of one's soil could be utilized within the space of Windarian society.
Windarians often referred to each other by the color of one's blood as all Windarians had their souls read at birth by a Soil Shaman to determine one's hue.
Soil is a acronym for Spectrum Of Individual Life and the Windarians see themselves as the safe guard of the Soil Spiral or Soil Stream. As Soil Souled creatures cycle in death and become reborn throughout the universe as new life and the future generations of all sorts of races and species to come. Windarians champion themselves to speak for the soil to those who cannot hear it.
They refer to Lord Bahamut as "The Infernal Father" and are in reflection to their opposite of those who live in the clouds upon high, the children of Creation, The Celestials.
✧ Twin Stars || Creation and Destruction ✧
It began with a spark. ✩࿐
A spark of light that split into two and they danced among the blank canvas of the cosmos until they found their forms. The forms of two dragons of sparkling white that glowed to light the absence of the universe.
One dragon was long and beautiful. She was graceful and sleek and with her breath she blew into the cosmos and lights began to litter the heavens with a shine never seen before.
Stars she called them. Lights to sparkle and glimmer within this inkiness that would be sky. The heavens she named them, for she was a God and her truest name would be Creation.
But as the stars sprouted in the heavens eventually they would die out and start to fall to the abyss below.
Creation was overcome with sadness that her stars would not last until the second God spoke.
"Fear not, dear sister, for I shall breathe to them a second life."
The second God was also a dragon but he was large and broad. He spread his massive wings as he reached his arms down into the abyss to retrieve the dying stars and with their passing he formed the ground that would become the Earthen lands we know today.
He then would take those dying lights to form new life as he molded them all to be the images within his mind.
"These are my children and they shall know life but also they shall know death and on their end they shall return to begin the spiral anew."
For the second God was strong and he would cycle what would crumble away and in his truest name, he would be known as Destruction.
"These beings of mine shall be beings remade from that which is lost. They shall be souls made of Soil." Destruction declared, but Creation wanted children of her own, so with her breath she formed life on the lands that Destruction had made and molded them into images within her own mind.
"These beings are my children." She declared. "I shall gift them with my breath and they shall know the heavens as their home."
"But sister..." Destruction started. "...your children are outside the spiral. They shall know life but what of death? How will they begin again?"
The sleek dragon shook her head.
"My children shall be born of the sky and to the sky they shall return. They need not cycle but instead they shall become one with the world around them. As fragments of the sky they shall be souls made of Mist and when they pass that Mist will return to the heavens from whence it came."
And so the heart beat of the universe began. The very pulse of life itself thudding in time with the grand scale of the cosmos that the gods watched over from on high.
Their children lived in peace with the gods expanding their lands as time spread on. Creation giving gifts to them to light the day and the night. The sun and the moon she called them as she hung them in the sky so underneath their children could thrive.
But something was missing. Her children needed guidance, so she shifted her form to become smaller and in the image of those she created to speak with them. She wished to know what they wanted and while her children lived they seemed to lack the same spark that existed within herself and her brother.
They needed something. Something more. Someone to guide them and to give them the gift of the spark.
Returning to her original form, she reached inside herself where the flame resided and through one of her brother's crystals she breathed. Her breath split as her mighty winds of life blew and it shattered into seven brilliant colors.
Seven brilliantly colored dragons long and sleek like herself came to form and with them she gifted them all their own small part of the spark. With their gifts they would too take smaller forms in order to reach those that lived on destruction's lands below to spread to them the purpose of order and the joy of music and dance. A thirst for knowledge and a value in all that was just in the world.
Creation's children became known as the seven and they would help guide those below until one day they started asking for more. Their children cried out. They begged the gods above for more but they did not know what else to give them. Darkness pooled the lands and the two Gods found themselves at a loss for what to do.
Darkness pooled and collected until it grew and grew taking on a form of it's own and a third dragon took form in the heavens upon high greeting the two Gods as it stretched out it's tattered looking wings.
"I am born of your children, and with the gift of life I shall make their lives better."
The darkness began to fade from the lands as it had a place to flow and it with it the lives of those below began to evolve. They began to grow and change and Creation and Destruction watched as their children started to build and create beyond whatever they thought possible. Beyond whatever they had envisioned for them.
This was the best possible solution. This was the best possible thing that could have happened. The darkness that had grown in the hearts of their children had a place to go and with it - it gave rise to their new friend. A third God and their name was Evolution.
The three watched as the universe grew and the cosmos expanded out wide. Life filled the once barren abyss allowing the spiral to cycle as the path of those of Mist souls ran through their linear path of life to ultimately be released to expand the cosmos yet further still.
It carried on for Millennia, until one day those below began to fight with each other and the darkness spread once more. Creation and Destruction turned to their friend to call upon Evolution to give their children a way to rise above this once more, yet the solution never came.
The third dragon had grown to become a deep inky magenta color and he only inhaled to drawn the darkness deep into his belly.
"More." It declared, setting the lives below to further fall to war. "More!" Famine spread and fires went wild. Oceans churned and the skies grew dark and rumbled with anger.
"MORE!" Evolution called out pulling the resulting darkness in with another deep inhale. It's form continued to twist. It's wings becoming that of a tattered web and nothing below seemed to be able to escape from the darkness it was inhaling only to turn back out and spread to the lands of destruction's hand.
"Stop!" Creation called to her friend. "Stop, Evolution." She cried, overcome with sadness for what was happening to her children and her brother's alike. "You're hurting them. You're destroying what mustn't be destroyed."
"You're breaking the Spiral." Destruction roared.
But the third dragon only cackled at their allegations as it threw back it's head to look them both dead in their eyes as it's belly rumbled.
"Do you know what Evolution becomes when it, itself, evolves my dear friends?"
They both shook their heads, as Creation stretched a wing out towards her brother as if to tell him to stay where he was.
Evolution laughed a second time with a maddening cry that shook the heavens themselves.
"You shall now know me as Chaos."
As I'm working on the final post in the collection of Faces of the King my brain thought to stop for a moment to explain something. I have previously mentioned it in other posts but I just wanted to point it out again and everything else it is effecting.
You see in the world of FF:U there are two major elements and they are Soil and Mist.
Most beings in the Universe (yes probably your muse too) are what would be known as "Beings of Soil" even if they cannot command it as Windarian Soil Mages can. (Staring hard at Kaze right now.)
Kumo refers to these beings as "Soil Souls" because that means their soul is comprised of Soil.
Soil is the crystalized souls of the dead composing a color of varying hue post-mortem.
so humans, and most other beings are beings of soil.
On the other side of the Universal scale sets Mist or "Mist Souls" - meaning their souls are comprised from the magical substance known as Mist and these beings are largely beings of the Sky or the Sea. Mist Souls all possess a color within their soul as well, but Mistericans were the only beings that actively produced it within their bodies and could harness it's magical abilities.
I am telling you all this because Kumo is a Mist Soul (obviously) and there are very few of them left in the universe.
I am telling you this because Soil and Mist both have a governing force. That being that Soil is governed by the Spiral or Spiral Motion
While Mist is governed by The Straight Line or Linear Motion.
I am telling you this because in recent days in writing this man I have made observations and laughed because he does it so naturally.
Kumo is:
straight to the point when he speaks
someone who says exactly what he means
straight forward with his needs and wants
straight forward with thoughts and opinions
straight forward with his intentions
His thoughts follow a linear path
Kumo is very "point A to point B" in his thinking
blunt and direct
planned and organized
orderly with a place for everything
systematic and he will meltdown without them
rigid in the way he does things
Kumo gets:
annoyed at side paths
annoyed with conversations that go in circles
annoyed with topic or question dodging
frustrated with convoluted answers
annoyed with trips that take him all over the place instead of just from one place and to the other
frustrated when his systems are disrupted
