I do not understand the hype around the popular characters in editblr. I just dont get it. I die inside a little every time I see another edit of generic pink character #539 and it gets hundreds of notes. No hate to the editors, the graphics are always amazing I just hate how overused the characters are.

Creativity is at its lowest, if people actually wanna keep the editing community alive, maybe instead of making the same thing and using the same medias 1000 times maybe explore, maybe do some of the medias you blacklisted? ( unproblematic ones like roblox media of course ) maybe use more official art / fanart? maybe try a new style entirely or add the resources you used to your edits? the possibilities are endless but we stick to the same thing, no wonder its dying out, people get bored of repetitiveness, if your using the same style as everyone else what makes YOU any different? What makes you any different if you have the same takes and talk the same way and just do everything like "them" stop revolving your entire existence to be like everyone else, then when someone is different you bully them off the platform for having "ugly edits" ( im not saying unique = suddenly amazing but no edits are ugly, just not YOUR thing. ) or being different or just not being the copy paste you are. If you like the things most editors like, OK but just don't act superior and irreplaceable.. because im sorry but your not if you just follow all the trends , nothing is wrong with that but please... don't force yourself to be someone your not.

I dont wanna seem like an ass but why do most editors genuinely seem like the same person? similar usernames, similar pronouns, similar editing styles,similar typing quirks.. the list goes on and on, i feel like im going crazy

All of the popular editblr blogs feel like the same person copy and pasted 20 times. Like, holy shit do any of yall have a personality of your own? It's so hard to want to share my edits in this community when I know the only ones getting attention are the clusters of clones that make the same shit
