100 Days of Headcanon || Day 11: Destiny
⋆୨𖤓୧⋆ To put this bluntly, Kaze couldn't give two fucks less about destiny. His people's religion dictated all sorts of things about Asher and Anu and he really doesn't care for any of it. Even more so now that he's met Anu so he really doesn't care of anything that Windarian religion "foretold". The only thing that has turned out to be true is that both Asher and Any are in fact the God Vessels and the wielders of the demon arms that bear the gods' spirits.
But all the nonsense Windarian (and Misterican) religion spouted about Asher and Anu being destined to face off in a grand battle and how Asher would defeat Anu in battle to take victory for the Windarians, bringing about Bahamut's glory once and for all? Bullshit. All of it. Kaze doesn't care for any of it and he certainly does not care for the name of 'Asher' either.
You won't see him caught dead calling White Cloud, Anu either. He doesn't care about destiny at all. Were they destined to find each other? Yes. He can buy into that. Are they bound by some cosmic force he can't begin to understand? Also yes. That fluffy haired cloud is his Moon, his Other - he won't deny that. He knows the Maken and the Magun are intertwined. He doesn't just believe it, he's seen it. He's heard the Gods join together in song while the prince simply napped in his lap like some kind of celestial cat.
Kaze acknowledges there are cosmic forces at play but he drives his destiny and no one else. If the Universe decided to give him a leg up by giving him special powers, he's not going to complain but he's also not going to chock it up to some grand pre-planned cosmic bullshit.
