The fact that a fandom can hear "hey aspects of me are in the character and done intentionally so I'd appreciate folk not messing around" and not accept it or, at most upset, go "huh that's kinda insensitive so I'm gonna back off engaging with their characters" is wild. The fact that a fandom can hear "hey btw some of my friends are straight and uncomfortable being shipped with their mates because it feels like it overlooks that fact" and go "homophobia" (rather than accepting or, at worst, going "okay cool sign not doing it though") is wild. The fact that tumblr feels so entitled to content creators, which is very different than typical celebrities due to proximity and frankly the exposing nature of the job itself, is wild. People need to grow up and quit harassing people for at worst poorly phrased takes.
