"Su, when I get you out of this, I'm going to kick your ass." Her little sister grinned. "I wouldn't have expected anything less." Lin continued to try and find a way to open the platinum casing. She didn't come all this way from Republic City just to get captured too. After Opal practically yelled the news at her, the chief of police had rushed over. After fighting a handful of guards, Lin shouldn't have been surprised to find Su and the boys trapped in her own office. "Where the hell did Kuvira even get platinum holding cases?" "I don't know." Suyin looked behind her and nudged her older sister with her head. "But you got some company." Lin turned around and groaned. Eight guards stood ready to take her down. Over her dead body. She took them down easy, leaving them unconscious on the floor, and came back to her previous task. The adrenaline from fighting only fueled her irritation. "And what in your right mind possessed you to take down Kuvira in her sleep?" "I thought I could do it. She set us up." "You should have seen that coming. You deserved what you got." Su scowled. "What's that supposed to mean?" "It means-" Lin didn't have time to answer as a guard pulled her backwards. This time, there was a total of ten guards. The chief of police was sure that more reinforcements were on their way. Eight minutes had passed when she hit the platinum casing hard and continued trying to find a way to open them. Su inspected her face. "Yikes, that's going to be a black eye later." "Wonderful. Fantastic." The older of the two sisters bent her cable and began picking the lock mechanism. "You were so much better at this than I was." Suyin peeked over and observed. "I would have been out by now if I could get a go at the lock. My hands and feet are immobilized." "You could still bend using your head. Ever thought of that?" "Bending metal is hard without your arms and legs." Su looked behind her sister once more. "Six o'clock." Lin bent her cables out and threw the guard across the room. A fist came across her face forcing Lin against her sister's prison. The chief of police punched the guard right back. To the others, she sunk them into the ground. "Oh spirits, you are not going to look pretty after this." The chief of police was back to picking the lock. "And you would know that I don't care." "With your eyes swollen shut, you're gonna be just like Mom." "She's out there right now." Suyin's eyes widened. "Really?" Lin couldn't help but snicker. "She is so going to kick your ass." A click sounded in the air. The front part of the casing fell and Su stepped out. Her older sister eyed her choice in clothing. "We were trying to sneak in." "Whatever you say ninja master." "Shut up." "Just go pick the lock on Wei's casing." The two Beifong sisters separated to work on one twin each. The boys just watched them work, practically vibrating to get out. Wing looked behind his Aunt Lin. "Ummm, you guys..." Wei did the same with their mother. "You might want to turn around." Lin and Su spoke in sync. "What?" The two were slammed together by metal cables. They fell to the floor but refused to go unconscious. Lin spun and let her own cables fly. Her younger sister pushed herself back up and kicked a panel from the ceiling to five guards, squishing them against the floor. "Su, do you know what game I loved to play when we were kids?" "Leap frog!" The sisters jumped up and hopped from each of the remaining guards' heads, forcing them to the ground. Each guard hit the ground and were knocked out instantly. After all that, they were back to lock picking. Suyin grunted. "Why is your head so hard?" "Because I got a real working brain unlike you." Lin growled in frustration at the lock. "My brain has got to be protected." "Why are you so rude?" "It's my middle name." A click sounded, followed by another shortly after. The youngest of the Beifong sisters smiled victoriously. "I win." The chief of police clapped her hands together. "Congrats. Here's your prize." Wei and Wing physically cringed at their aunt punching their mother in the face. "What the hell, Lin?" Suyin wiped her nose of the blood now flowing. "I told you I was gonna kick your ass." The twins just watched as the two got into a fist fight. The two women, honorable and respectable Beifong sisters, rolled around on the floor trying to get a blow wherever they could. Lin punched Su in the ribs. Suyin kneed Lin in the jaw. And so on. The only time they stopped was when their mother entered the room. "Am I going to have to break you two up like kids?" Lin and Suyin stared at Toph with their bloody faces. "Remember what happens when I catch you two pinheads fighting?" Wei and Wing have never seen their aunt and mother scramble across the floor so fast.
