I may be assuming too much on people reading into it with current comic events but I swear on my defective heart that Burbank not getting shot isn't because Mallard died in Endtown

Ziggy showing off a very Heart-y tomato from the grow houses. By the looks of his eyes he was probably in the grow house for a different reason.
Drew this earlier in the month and meant to paint it by Valentines day, but better late than never.
I’ve never mentioned it on this blog but I do a fancomic for Endtown called Topside Tales! It’s over 300 pages long at this point and still going (I will probably never stop writing it). For anyone wondering it’s this project that has taken most of my artistic energy and dedication, but overall it really has been phenomenal to work on both for sharpening my art skills and offer the tiny Endtown fandom a crumb of content to enjoy.
What this is all about
I found Endtown on tvtropes, binged it and lost it over the pig arc. Still following the comic, more out of morbid curiosity, but also because i want to see how it ends. I don't think it will turn out around but who knows? Regardless, it had some very fascinationg concepts and ideas so i can't stop thinking about it. Finding people on tumblr who knew about it pushed me into creating an account. If you like Endtown, go read Topside Tales, it's good and does what Endtown did at it's beginning while avoiding the pitfalls.
Also a furry and dnd nerd and stuff, but idk how much this'll come up. I am writing my endtown fanfiction, but an alternate continuity. More of a sci-fi inquiry, i guess. "The world's gone bust, you have genocidal humans purge the surface, some sort of unknowable horror god is poaching the survivors for an unkown goal. A trickster with way too much power is meddling around, for a supposed "greater good". The survivors are barely holding onto their sanity. Who could fix this mess? And why and how?" Only thing i know for sure is that it'll involve someone less powerful replacing Marx before the very first arc and trying to push Endtown's government away from race politics ala Jackrabbit and pig arc into something less divise for a society based on different species of funny animals fighting humans. Though my lore is always sketchy so i am first looking and learning around before butchering too much of the established setting.
I'll keep it real with you Frankie, he knows jack-shit about that.
Sitting around while I run something this summer (this is eating my free time to work on TT) but I can fit some things in. Today let's do a focus on Frankie! Frankie's inspirations took me a bit to think about and one that retroactively fits her really well. I ended up settling on from upper right and clockwise: Holly Hollister [Endtown]: Shouldn't be at all a surprise. I've diagnosed Holly as being essentially Wally's therapist a number of times (and the problems about that). Frankie just cuts right to the chase of what she is in the story, no muss no fuss.
Evelyn Carnahan [The Mummy]: Booksmart and clever but makes some egregious errors, particularly releasing the titular Mummy. Currently in TT Frankie is arguably the responsible party for how Clovis got his opportunity to make his escape attempt which is ongoing right now.
Rebecca Chambers [Resident Evil]: This is the character who is new, in that she fits Frankie retroactively. She's optimistic (or tries to be) but capable, a medic who ends up in way over her head. Clarise Starling [Silence of the Lambs]: Frankie takes away some of Clarise's fortitude in the face of adversity, especially when facing people who are actively dangerous/scary to face. She doesn't really give up even with people telling her no or condescending to her. Ma Otter [Emmett Otter's Jug-Band Christmas]: Ma is sweet as honey, kind and self-sacrificing. Also an otter. Frankie borrows some of that wholesomeness and the species for her anthro type. Kind of simple but not everything is really that deep. Rachel Green [Friends]: Admittedly I like her hair but Rachel's influence on Frankie is her snappy little attitude when she isn't being a sweetheart. This helps back up that fortitude from Clarice I mentioned.
