I’ve never mentioned it on this blog but I do a fancomic for Endtown called Topside Tales! It’s over 300 pages long at this point and still going (I will probably never stop writing it). For anyone wondering it’s this project that has taken most of my artistic energy and dedication, but overall it really has been phenomenal to work on both for sharpening my art skills and offer the tiny Endtown fandom a crumb of content to enjoy.

One thing I constantly wonder is this: if Octavia didn't look like a near clone of Stolas would he have given even an iota of a shit about her? We see how casually neglectful he is of her feelings and emotions but he still made some efforts as thin as they are. In that same vein imagine being Stella and your daughter looks just like the man you loathe and has practically nothing of you. Then imagine how different things could have been if she did take after Stella more than Stolas in looks!

Shit, can you imagine? I'm sure he wouldn't treat her badly, but even now, we see that he has trouble untangling the idea of Octavia from the reality and actually treating her like a person. Would that be even more the case if she wasn't "my owlet," a miniature version of himself?

It's such a subtle but important change that I think I need an entire AU of this.
