Back in Y2K rocking a Topsoul on one of Amsterdam’s nicest downledge spots, the now demolished GAK Amstelveen. Getting low like you’re supposed to. Amnon and Jesse found these spots trying to get to a perfect rail which I had discovered near the GAK Bos & Lommer. This is ofcourse loooong before Google maps and the like, the rail I had found was in the west side of Amsterdam, near a GAK office. Now they had seen a GAK office being mentioned on the map of a tram stop, and thought, ‘that must be it’. Little did they know they would stumble upon one of the nicer skatespots we had in the 90’s and 00’s. This GAK was located in the south side of Amsterdam, Amstelveen actually. These ledges have been skated by everyone that came to Amsterdam in that time. With the right wind direction you could even skate them when it was raining outside, which was 80% of the time.
