that's /bro/, bro.
“Bro! For bro.”

Fuck, she’d probably put this off for way too long. But then again, to be fair, she hadn’t exactly been around post-storm, had she? After what happened to Arcadia Bay - what happened because of her, no less - her and Max just... Got into a car and drove. Just drove without stopping until they ran out of gas.
And, yeah, they’d been barely scraping together enough money to eat and, Hell, live - but they couldn’t go back, could they? They couldn’t go back. Everyone was dead. And it was all her fault.
Only weeks later they’d started checking facebook updates and other social medias; seeing who they lost. Only weeks later they were prepared to face the losses, and cry and scream and grieve. Joyce was gone. Of course she was gone. A lot of other people were gone, too.
One person who wasn’t, though?
David.
At first, she’d been furious. Furious that of all the people out there, all the good people who had to die, this fucker had to survive. That her mom, and Warren, and so many other people she’d known so well had to die while David got to live.
Yeah, at first, she’d been absolutely out-of-her-mind mad about it. But Max helped her see. She always did, didn’t she? She’d explained; explained that, in that one darkest-of-the-dark timeline where Jefferson got to Chloe, David had absolutely broken down, learning that Chloe had died. It took a few good days for that to sink in, a good few more for her to actually start believing it - and another few for the two to decide that they needed to go back to Arcadia Bay.
Not to stay. Just to... Help, they figured. To do what they could to mend the wounds they’d caused. So, first stop - Blackwall. And the first person she had the responsibility to see?
“David.” It was spoken in a low, almost stern tone as she rounded the corner behind which he’d been... She wasn’t sure, bullying another student probably. Like the kids hadn’t been through enough. Ah, she shouldn’t jump into conclusions like that - not anymore, anyway.
The cigarette she’d been smoking was dumped onto the ground. It was weird - looking this guy in the eye without actually wanting to murder him. Not to get her wrong, she still wasn’t exactly happy to be here, trying to chit-chat a man that had been a complete and utter dick to her these past few years of her life - but, she figured she could use the personal growth. They didn’t exactly have any other family anymore, did they? Neither one of them. And shit was going to be hard - with Joyce gone to try and keep the piece, it’d be hard.
But, Hell - she owed it to her mother to try at least.
Fuck, the way they left things off, this was weird. So goddamn weird - looking this guy in the eye, after all that had happened.
“Hey.” That’s one way to break the ice after months of being missing.

“What’s all this blood?!”
because sometimes what’s left to the imagination is much more terrifying.
