The flight to Cardiff was a bit rough- per usual given the Rift among other things in the Welsh city. One of those things was the very man the Doctor and Donna were going to visit- a man who was a fixed point in time and space- and given the TARDIS's reaction to him the last time the Doctor'd gone to refuel, he wasn't all that surprised that the ride was a bit bumpy.
They weren't going to Cardiff just to refuel, though. There had been... a bit of a scare with Donna and her unborn baby of whom Jack was the father. And out of that scare had come a discovery that their child had somehow inherited one of his father's biggest quirks- immortality. So both out of concern for Donna and her child as well as his own reasons, the Doctor had suggested they visit Torchwood.
With her signature vworp, vworp, vworp, the TARDIS materialized just outside the Millennium Center. The Doctor looked over at Donna.
"Ready?"
