first impression: when you sent me that ask that was like ‘there’s like ten ships i want from your wishlist’ i remember being so excited because we were definitely going to be friends if we were going to have ten ships ( even tho we started with three because we have some self control ). then we started talking and i was like who is this person and why didn’t i find them earlier because you made me at ease in such a short time like you know the story of how you became one of my closest friends in the first three days and that says it all. i thought you were such an interesting person and i always looked forward to speaking to you ( but that didn’t change so you know ).  

truth is: you’re someone i admire a lot because you’re so intelligent and talented and i want to support you all the time because i know you’ll succeed in everything you put your mind to. i already told you everything you mean to in your birthday present but just in case you forgot i love you a lot and i love talking to you all the time and you’re also one of my closest friends which means you’re stuck with me forever !!

“Hello to you too.” Rorychuckled as she set her bag down. She had been working late, and coming home towhat looked like an excited Shelby was definitely the best welcome she could havegotten. Doing as she was told, she made her way over to her bedroom, gaspingslightly as she opened the door. “Shit, babe, there must be like 20 roses worthof petals in here.” She turned, her mouth agape as she looked back at Shelby. “Ithink you can officially tell science that it is a little too much, but I love it.” She confirmed, pulling the two ofthem into the room. She sat back onto the bed, her hands running through thepetals, before looking back up, pulling Shelby down onto her lap. “I guess if itis for science, we need to fully test my bed right now.” She murmured, beforekissing her. She ignored the tiny voice in the back of her head that wasworried about the mess, deciding that it would be her cleaner’s problem, thatright now all she wanted to do was the woman on top of her.

Frowning, Leighton turnedher head to face Reyna. She rested her arm along the back of the couch, herhand moving to play with her girlfriend’s hair. She couldn’t quite read theexpression on her face, not able to work out where this was coming from. Shestarted to panic that Reyna was having doubts, that by not advertising theirrelationship she was unsure of how real it all way. Softening her expression,she smiled at the other girl. “I’m falling for you.” She admitted. She didn’t thinkshe could say the actual three words yet, but she could feel herself falling harderand faster every day.

“Maybe, but you’re still the best one out of the two of us,” Katya argued as she was writing in the sand, Blake’s arms around her. Watching the sunset on the beach after Matthias fell asleep became one of their regular activities— despite the routine, the moment was better since they stopped hiding their feelings. Having Blake by her side through what Katya considered her worst nightmare was the key to her survival. Although they still had hope they would get rescued, she wasn’t as scared as she was the first day. She was used to being on the island, and having Blake’s company was making her feel less like she was living her nightmare. Although she was far from accepting the tragedy, she knew she wouldn’t have gotten to know the one she was in love with if they weren’t stuck on the island. Hearing those words made Katya smile. “You know I wouldn’t have survived a day without you,” she added. “My intelligence would have been useless if you weren’t strong enough for the both of us. I would have kept on panicking and it’s obvious I can’t focus when I have a panic attack.” Turning her head towards Blake, she closed the distance between their lips, bringing her into a kiss. “You deserve just as much credit,” she whispered. Placing another kiss on her cheek, she turned her gaze towards the sunset ahead of them, observing how the colors were reflecting on the water. The only thoughts occupying her mind used to be the ones concerning them being rescued, but she realized as long as she was with Blake, everything would be fine.

diana x drew: ‘i thought i might have lost you.’

Diana loved her job. Sure, it had its ups and downs, andthere were some nights that she liked to block out of her memory, but for themost part, the men (and women, occasionally) that came to the club wererespectful. It was slightly more expensive than your average joint, anyway.Sometimes they still got a little too handsy, but Diana was well-versed inbacking away, giving them a chance to realise that they were crossingboundaries before getting security involved. But that was rare. She definitelydidn’t expect one guy to be waiting outside for her when she got off her shift,after she had him escorted out for being too aggressively drunk. She definitelydidn’t expect to end up with a head injury, in the hospital. She woke up groggyand disorientated, her sister’s voice in the background. As her eyes flutteredopen, she tried to make out the wiggly shapes at the back of the room. They beganto focus slightly, making out her sister, which wasn’t a surprise, and Drew. Shefelt a mixture of happy and guilty. Happy that Drew was there, but guiltyknowing that if she was hurting this much, then she probably looked like crapand she didn’t want Drew worrying about her. “Hey.” She tried to say, but itcame out as a croak, her throat dry from lack of use. She stop the small smilethat appeared as her girlfriend came running to her side. She reached out herhand, cupping Drew’s face, wincing slightly at the pain in her side. That feltlike a broken rib or two. She pushed that down, and stroked her cheek. “You’renever getting rid of me that easily.” She joked, before coughing slightly, herthroat crying out for water. But that didn’t matter. She was awake, mostlyokay, and she had the two most important people in her life looking out forher.

daxton x ysabel: "You're scared? You can come sleep with me, I guess."

Ysabel wasn't afraid of much. She had always been afraid of failure, but that never stopped her from going for what she wanted. She had been afraid of spiders, but living alone made her toughen up and get over them. She was afraid of heights,so she never got on a ladder. But one thing she could never get past were thunderstorms. There was something about the quiet it brought, right before the low rumble, that always felt so ominous. The flashes of lightning always made her jump, even if she had been expecting it. She had been pretty good at hiding it from Amy, however. The last thing she wanted was for her daughter to grow up with the same irrational fear. Which was why the little girl was sleeping so soundly in her own bed. The two had gone over to Daxton’s for dinner, but it had gotten too stormy, she couldn't drive them back in it. The clock was now showing 1am, and she sighed, nursing the cup of tea she was letting go cold in her hands. She had decided to come back downstairs about half an hour ago, knowing that sleep just wasn't an option. Hearing Daxton’s voice from the doorway, laced with sleepiness, she jumped. “Jesus.” She breathed out softly as she turned to face him. She couldn't help but smile softly at how he knew what the problem was without her even having to say anything. They had spent enough time hiding under the covers, talking over the storm to block out the noise. It was just another case of how much better he knew her than anyone else. Starting to protest, Bella shook her head, but before she could verbally argue, he shot her a look she knew so well, one that told her she wasn't going to win this argument. So she nodded instead. Abandoning the cup, she made a mental note to clear it in the morning, she stood, her heart hammering in her chest. It didn't mean anything. They were just going to lay down. Friends could do that. She followed him up the stairs into his room, biting her lip as she stood in the doorway, before taking a deep breath and crossing the threshold. She climbed into the bed, leaving a large enough gap between the two bodies, her nerve endings raw. That was, until another clap of lightning flashed outside, and she jumped, automatically moving closer to Dax. She ignored the quiet rumble of laughter in his chest, not moving back, inching closer, even. “Hold me?” She whispered, her voice so quiet she wasn't even sure she had said it out loud. “Just until the storm is over?” As she breathed in the familiar scent, her eyes fluttered closed. She mumbled on about nothing and everything, filling the silence with as much noise as possible, until she finally drifted into a slumber.

“You always think you’re right!” Gemma shouted, her heart racing in her chest. She thought the argument had ended. That once she moved her pillow to the sofa in the living room, Henley would understand she was done. She hadn’t expected that last sentence. She hated how the fights never seemed to end. “Don’t you understand? I’m in love with you.” The last sentence was spoken in a calm tone, as if the rush coming with the fight had suddenly vanished, and she realized she was contradicting her own point of view. Of course Henley was right. They couldn’t understand each other anymore. They were always on opposite sides of an argument. Neither of them was willing to compromise. Gemma had attempted to ignore the signs, which was why Henley pointing out all the issues with their relationship was pissing her off. She was making everything to hang onto the relationship, refusing to acknowledge the direction they were heading towards, but she realized that wouldn’t solve their problems. Even though she didn’t show her emotions, she was hurting. She didn’t want to imagine her life without Henley. Staying there, silence settling between them, she felt as if she had lost. That there wasn’t anything she could say to convince Henley how much she meant to her. She didn’t blame her, though. Gemma knew she was stubborn and her actions spoke more than words, but she loved her girlfriend more than she communicated. “I don’t want to lose you,” she said, her voice even quieter than before. That was where the conversation ended. “I should go to sleep. Goodnight.” Walking to the sofa, she wrapped herself in her blanket and closed her eyes, though she only fell asleep in the morning hours.
