🍪 my favorite roleplay memory

Oh gosh, it would have to be one from a good few years back and on an entirely different blog. I'd been developing a ship with someone for the better part of a year, and on this particular night the two muses were on an actual date. The whole dash got involved, it was hilarious! People posting gifs from The Little Mermaid of Sebastian singing 'kiss the girl', that 'now kiss!' meme. It was honestly so much fun! I can't remember if they did end up kissing that night, I just remember how everyone was so invested in it happening lol!!

⭐️ my roleplay pet peeves

Hmmm... I don't have any major ones. I'm not overly fond of double-spacing because it messes with my eyes and gives me headaches. Ummm... OH! Unless plotted, don't jump in on someone else's plotted thread, it's just kinda rude! I had this happen to me a lot at one point and it made threading with other people super stressful and just kinda sucked the fun out of it. It's just a case of being polite and checking if it's okay to jump in first, you know? Other than that? I can't think of any that really stand out? I'm sure I have more, because we all have pet peeves, but they aren't jumping out at me right this second!

🦄 the best thing that's happened to me in roleplay this year

Oh man, you do realise that you've just given me permission to be super soppy, right? The friends I've made, and there's one in particular I genuinely cannot picture my life without now —I'll get to them in just a second! I'd like to shout out LJ ( @cripplemagics ), Dove ( @wickedslip ) and Max ( @thcmcnstcr ). These past few months have been a much happier time for me thanks to these wonderful people. My day isn't complete until I've at least said hello to them! Also, LJ is my little nerd buddy, we're often in each other's DM's geeking out over video games lol! And now onto the extra special person in my life —Killjoy ( @ripcreel / @2dayze / @painmon ) tagging all three because I can and because people should be checking out their muses! Killjoy was the first person I spoke to when I made Chrissy (my old Chrissy blog that is) after I came back to tumblr from a 3 year hiatus. It was a new muse, new fandom, new everything, and SO MUCH had changed in my time away! They were super kind and helpful to me, and I'll always be grateful to them for that. This past year we have gotten so much closer, the two of us are from the UK and so there's already that connection there, (it's a Brit thing, trust me) and our friendship has just gone from strength to strength. We've supported one another through good times and bad, been a sound board for venting our woes. Not a day goes by in which we don't talk, it actually feels weird if we don't, we've both expressed that sentiment to one another. My life is infinitely better for having them in it, and I cannot wait to meet them in person, I have no doubt that it will be a wonderful experience!!!

she hated asking for help. that was obvious. there was nothing more embarrassing than not being good at something the first try. taissa would rather sit there and suffer than not be self sufficient. but she's never learned how to tie a tie. granted, wearing anything with a tie was normally not her style ... but she was trying something different. something new. if she hated it, she would never try it again. it was almost like she had to find her style again after the wilderness.

it's badly tied, if she's being honest. but she's just hoping that her confidence is enough to make it seem like it's on purpose. it's just the style, obviously! nobody ever said that the early 2000s were the perfect time for anything stylish, right? fashion was made to be personal. but she locks eyes with charlie and she just knows that she isn't fooling anybody. "what?!" she mutters, clearly defensive. "is there an issue?"

sharper than she'd meant to be, snapping as she redirected her frustration to the poor boy just trying to check in. jackie presses the heels of her hands over her eyes hard enough that stars dance across her vision. she isn't being fair. it isn't his fault shauna's being impossible again, isn't his fault jeff is fucking stupid, isn't his fault she feels so fucking alone right now it's suffocating. the cracks in her façade curl and grow under pressure, and suddenly her energy drains away. she's just ... tired. so fucking tired. breathe in. breathe out. breathe in. breath out.

☾⋆ ‒‒‒‒‒ Seeing Charlie like this broke her heart, it hurt even more knowing who had done it to him and why. --Jason just couldn't leave well enough alone, even after all this time, he still had to poke his nose into her business and hurt the people she cared about.

In the grand scheme of things, though? Charlie had gotten off pretty lightly. Sure, he had a busted lip and would likely have the most impressive black eye, but for the most part? He'd gotten out of it pretty unscathed. Rummaging around in her backpack, Chrissy pulled out a little med-kit she carried around with her-- one could never be too careful when cheerleading.

❝ Is it okay if I clean you up a little? You can do it yourself if you prefer? ❞ She knew how Charlie felt about casual touching and didn't want to overstep. ❝ Don't be silly... nothing and no one is worth getting beat up over. Not even me. ❞

It sucked that Halloween fell on a school day this year, not that it would stop any of the kids in Hawkins from going out and indulging in some age old traditions, and of course, eating way too much candy. ❝ --So! What are you dressing up as this year?? ❞

stevie didn’t know they could feel that much pain at once. a line of sweat drips from the side of their forehead, they can feel that awful sensation rising up their stomach again — everything feels blurred, hot, disgusting. addiction was a bitch, but the recovery was even worse. “it’s ironic,” she looks in his direction. “it doesn’t. but i want you here. i like knowin’ that you are here.” wipes away the tears from her eyes, sniffling, she reaches out to grab his hand. “but i do feel awful. you shouldn’t be the one seein’ me this way. shouldn’t have to stick through this ever in your life.” but she isn’t sure that she could’ve done it by herself.

🎲 a crowded nightclub on new years eve, the countdown to midnight is just about to start

Nightclubs weren't usually Saskia's scene, she was usually more of a house party type of girl. But a bunch of her friends invited her out to a club to bring in the new year and she didn't want to say no, friends that did eventually ditch her for boyfriends and booty calls by the time the countdown was about to start.

Looking through the crowd, she picked out someone she thought was cute and was also alone. "Excuse me for being forward but can I kiss you at midnight? Everyone else has got someone."
